  • Patent number: 11701840
Abstract: A method for connecting the joint of two ends of at least one chassis sealing element. In order to allow a secure and quick connection of the ends and allow an additional unhindered passage of air and moisture between hollow chambers within the chassis sealing element via the joint when using a profiled hollow chamber, the ends are first arranged at a distance to each other, and a shapeless bonding agent is applied to at least one end. The bonding agent is then heated, and the ends are brought into mutual contact, whereby the ends are bonded at the joint by way of the heated bonding agent.

  • Publication number: 20230201557
Abstract: A clamping module of or for a medical pump, and a method for identifying a hose clamp of a disposable infusion article insertable into the clamping module. The clamping module includes an electro-optical system for identifying the hose clamp, which has an optical marking. The electro-optical system includes a first light source for emitting at least a first light beam and a second light source for emitting at least a second light beam. The second light source is formed differently than the first light source. A photodetector receives a reflected light, and an optical window bundles the first light beam and/or the second light beam on the disposable infusion article, as well as the reflected light received by the photodetector. The method identifies the hose clamp based on a color and uses a measurement algorithm after insertion of the hose clamp into the medical pump.

  • Publication number: 20190003341
Abstract: Implementations described and claimed herein provide systems and methods for providing energy to a defined space, such as a house or other building. In one implementation, thermal energy is received from a solar power source at a solar boiler, and steam is generated from the thermal energy using the solar boiler. One or pistons of a steam engine is driven with a pressure from the steam. The steam engine outputs a first waste heat. The first waste heat is received from the steam engine at a chiller. The chiller generates conditioned air from the first waste heat.

  • Patent number: 8820056
Abstract: Disclosed is a super-turbocharger system that increases power and efficiency of an engine. The system uses the exothermic properties of a catalytic converter to extract additional energy from exhaust heat that is used to add power to the engine. Compressed air is supplied and mixed with exhaust gases upstream and/or downstream from a catalytic converter that is connected to an exhaust manifold. The gaseous mixture of exhaust gases and compressed air is sufficiently rich in oxygen to oxidize hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide in the catalytic converter, which adds heat to the gaseous mixture. In addition, a sufficient amount of compressed air is supplied to the exhaust gases to maintain the temperature of the gaseous mixture at a substantially optimal temperature level. The gaseous mixture is applied to the turbine of the super-turbocharger, which increases the output of said super-turbocharger, which increases the power and efficiency of said engine.

  • Patent number: 8769949
Abstract: Disclosed is a control system and method for controlling a superturbocharged engine system in various operation modes. Throttle control mode may idle the superturbocharger during low and medium engine loads, so that boost is not created in the intake manifold. During high engine load conditions (open throttle), boosting occurs in response to the driver, operator, or control system requesting increased engine loads. For transient control mode, the control system may respond to transient conditions in response to engine speed and load so that the engine does not bog down or overcome vehicle traction limits. The control system may also predict future operating points.

  • Patent number: 8366277
Abstract: A projector having a lamp and a reflector that reflects the light beams emitted by the lamp toward a light exit opening of the projector is provided. It is possible to vary the position of the reflector and of the lamp relative to one another, and to set the distribution of the exiting light by displacing the reflector and/or the lamp. The reflector is provided with facets that form a reflective surface for reflecting the light beams emitted by the lamp. The facets being constituted by their surface shaping such that the light beams generate a light field with a desired light distribution and whose light beam width can be set in a wide range by displacing the reflector and/or the lamp.
