  • Patent number: 7424855
Abstract: A slide arrangement for blocking or closing off a channel disposed between a coal pulverizer and coal dust burners, and conveying a gas having a high proportion of coal dust. The slide arrangement includes a housing disposed in the channel wall and a shroud or steel structure laterally connected to the housing. A passage for a slide plate is provided in a wall of the housing facing the shroud or steel structure. The passage can be closed off by a closure member except for a narrow gap. The closure member has a circumferential seal that rests against the rearward side of the housing wall. The closure member also has a wear plate that when the closure member is closed is flush with the inner side of the housing wall and forms a smooth passageway.

  • Patent number: 6443425
Abstract: A valve, especially a switch-over valve for large channel cross sections, is provided. A wing is pivotably mounted in a housing having channel connections. A fixating lever assembly provides for movement of the wing and includes a fixating lever and at least one link rod, one end of which is pivotably connected with the fixating lever while the other end is pivotably connected with the wing. A respective driver passes through and is mounted on opposite side walls of the housing. An inner end of each driver is connected to the fixating lever of a given one of the assemblies. A rotary drive mechanism engages an outer end of each driver.

  • Patent number: 5749703
Abstract: A gas turbine system has a shaft assembly for controlling a flap for the hot gases in the form of a solid stub shaft connected to a tubular shaft via a mechanical entrainer system either in the form of a set of links articulated to the stub shaft and the tubular shaft or in a radial claw arrangement in which between radial claws on the stub shaft, axial entrainers of the hollow shaft engage.

  • Patent number: 5007456
Abstract: A closing arrangement for ducts having large cross-sectional areas, particularly flue gas ducts for power plants. The arrangement includes at least two flaps which are mounted on at least one flap shaft. Lever arrangements composed of crank arms and tightening arms for swinging the flaps are connected to the flaps. At least one drive shaft is connected to the lever arrangements. The drive shaft extends transversely of the flap shaft. The transverse arrangement of the drive shaft makes it possible to open and close the flaps by means of a single drive shaft.

  • Patent number: 5002121
Abstract: A duct leading to a bypass and a duct leading to a heat exchanger are arranged at the output side of the gas turbine. The two ducts can be closed alternately by flaps. Pivotable guide plates are arranged in the branching area of the two ducts. The guide plates are pivoted by linkages connected to the flaps in the duct leading to the heat exchanger, so that, when the flaps in the bypass are open, the guide plates are inclined relative to the flow of combustion gases and deflect the flow into the duct leading to the bypass. When the flaps in the duct leading to the bypass are closed, the guide plates are pivoted to extend parallel to the flow of combustion gases. In this position, the guide plates do not provide any resistance to the flow of combustion gases to the heat exchanger.
