  • Patent number: 5833311
Abstract: An add-on child seat relates to an add-on child seat comprising a seating surface and a back rest surface for the child. At a distance to these surfaces there is provided an airbag as an impact protection for the child and which, in the case of a collision of the vehicle, is to be released. The airbag is formed as a knob shaped end of a carrier, this carrier extending between the legs of the child and is anchored in the region under the seating surface. With this design, in the case of an accident, the child can be quickly and simply removed from the seat without having to interrupt the mounting parts of the airbag.

  • Patent number: 5743554
Abstract: There is disclosed an airbag arrangement for a vehicle seat, in particular for the rear seat of a motor vehicle. The airbag is so arranged laterally at the end of a carrier which is fastened on the side of the seat or of the back rest, that a person seated neighboring the carrier is essentially protected towards the front by the airbag. The carrier is pivotably mounted about an axis from a rest position into a working position and vise versa, this axis lying approximately parallel to a cutting axis formed between the seat surface and the back rest surface. The carrier together with airbag located thereon, in the rest position, lies in a recess in the seat surface or back rest surface, flushly closed with this surface.

  • Patent number: 5605375
Abstract: A child seat restraining system that is to be affixed in an automobile and a three or multiple point seat belt system includes a belt length adjustment device (16) that has a belt reel (20) which is affixed either on the back side or on the underside of the child's seat with which the effective belt length of at least one piece of belt can be increased or decreased by counteracting or cooperating with a spring force. The belt length adjustment device (16) includes a belt blocking device (24, 25) which is located behind the belt reel (20) in the unwinding position.

  • Patent number: 4905516
Abstract: The invention relates to a wall thickness measuring device for pipes and the like, more particularly of extruded plastics, having a measuring head (15) connected to measuring and supply leads. The measuring head is mounted to be reversed around an opening of passage A for the pipe to be measured by means of a guide (14) attached to a frame having the opening of passage. The measure and supply leads (22-25) are acommodated in two guide chains (20, 21) which extend in opposite directions, partly on an inner guideway (18) and the other part on a guideway (19), connected thereto, of a guide core member (17). The guide core member (17) is basically constructed in the form of a portion of a circle and is disposed concentrically of the opening of passage (5) and can be moved therearound.

  • Patent number: 4812048
Abstract: The invention relates to a material feed device for an extruder. The material feed device has a storage container (4) suspended with provision for free movement on measuring members (3) of a mass throughput weighing device. The outlet (13) of the storage container (4) discharges into an inlet (5) of a feed unit (6) of the extruder. The outlet (13) and the inlet (5) are sealed off on the outside by a seal (16) enabling the storage container (4) to move freely in relation to the inlet (5). The seal comprises a rigid ring bearing via a sealing lip (17) against the outside of the tubular outlet (13) and borne via a sealing lip (18) on a flat sliding surface (15) of the inlet (5). While the sealing lip (17) bearing on the tubular outlet (13) enables the storage container (4) to make a vertical movement, the sealing lip (18) bearing on the flat surface (15) enables the storage container (4) to make a horizontal movement in both axes in relation to the inlet (5).
