  • Publication number: 20110105295
Abstract: The invention relates to the field of synthetic materials and is industrially applicable in the manufacture of wear-resistant construction parts for use under conditions of elevated temperatures, loads, and aggressive media, for cutting and machining tools, and in medical equipment. The technical problem of optimization of the performance parameters of the material, including crack resistance, hardness, and wear resistance, is solved. The objective is achieved by the fact that a material based on zirconium dioxide, containing yttrium and obtained by directed crystallization from batch mixture melted in a cold container, contains at least two tetragonal phases whose axes of tetragonality are 80-90°. The components of the batch mixture for obtaining the material are contained in the following ratio (in mol %): yttrium oxide, 2.8-3.7; zirconium dioxide, the remainder.

  • Publication number: 20070172794
Abstract: A single-stage dental implant with a wavy surface is composed of a crystal of partially stabilized zirconium dioxide with a nanostructure having a crystallographic axis “100” coinciding with an axis of the implant, ithasan intraosteal part with a wavy surface and its vertical profile includes concave arcs of a circle with reducing radius, wherein a tangent to the circles forms with the axis of the implant an angle 8-10°, a transition from one concave arc to another is smoothed by an arc, a vertical profile of the peryosteal part is a concave of a circle arc, and ¼ of the peryosteal part adjoining the intraoral part is a truncated cone with a generatrix forming with the axis an angle 8-20°.

  • Patent number: 4470922
Abstract: Phosphate neodymium glass for laser use, consisting of phosphoric anhydride, an oxide of at least one of alkaline metals, and neodymium oxide or a mixture of neodymium oxide and oxide of at least one of the following metals; La, Gd, Lu, Sc, Y, Al, Cr; the ratio between the above-cited components as follows (mol. %):______________________________________ phosphoric anhydride 64-77 oxide of at least one of alkaline metals 26-8 neodymium oxide or a mixture of neodymium 10-15 oxide with an oxide of at least one of the metals: Ln, Gd, Lu, Sc, Y, Al, Cr. ______________________________________The herein-proposed invention is intended for producing active elements for lasers of a wide purpose including thin-film and miniature lasers with generation wavelengths within the ranges 1.06 and 1.34.mu.. Phosphate neodymium glass for laser use of the developed composition can be synthesized in required amounts by a simple method.

  • Patent number: 4153469
Abstract: Monocrystals based on zirconium or hafnium dioxide stabilized with yttrium oxide having the following proportions of the said elements (in mol. %)Zirconium or hafnium dioxide: 70-90Yttrium oxide: 30-10.Said monocrystals may also contain oxides of the transition or the rare-earth elements or their mixtures in an amount of from 0.01 to 5% of the weight of the monocrystal. The method of producing the monocrystals consists in the preparation of a charge of zirconium or hafnium dioxide and yttrium oxide, melting of the charge, and growing the monocrystals from the obtained melt in the open air by the Stockbarger process. The obtained monocrystals obtained are transparent, colorless, have a high optical quality (a refractive index of n =2-2.2; a transmission band of 2,000-74,000 A), a microhardness of 1,300 to 1,500 kg/mn.sup.2, a dislocation density of 10.sup.3 to 10.sup.5 cm.sup.-2, and with various dimensions (a height of 1 to 8 cm, and a cross section of 0.5 to 4 cm.sup.2).
