  • Patent number: 11945806
Abstract: In immunoglobulin light chain amyloidosis (AL), the unique antibody light chain (LC) protein that is secreted by monoclonal plasma cells in each patient misfolds and/or aggregates, a process leading to organ degeneration. For treating AL patients, such as those with substantial cardiac involvement who have difficulty tolerating existing chemotherapy regimens, provided herein are small molecule compounds of Formula Ia, Formula Ib, and Formula II that are kinetic stabilizers of the native dimeric structure of full-length LCs, which compounds can slow or stop the amyloidogenicity cascade at its origin.

  • Publication number: 20240066424
Abstract: A chomping bubble producing toy including a shaft secured between a bubble solution reservoir and a housing. The housing is the shape of a character and includes an upper and moveable lower jaw piece. A lever is secured to a connection rod within the housing, which connection rod is secured to the lower jaw about a rotational axle. When the lever is pulled, the connection rod moves upward, which pushes the lower jaw down about the fixed rotational axle. A compression spring is secured to the connection rod, which spring keeps the jaw closed when the lever is at rest. Secured within the housing adjacent to the connection rod is a lever switch. When the lever is pulled, the connection rod moves and contacts the lever switch, thereby triggering it, which automatically plays sound from a speaker within the device and/or transmits a wireless signal.

  • Patent number: 11863876
Abstract: A computational pixel imaging device that includes an array of pixel integrated circuits for event-based detection and imaging. Each pixel may include a digital counter that accumulates a digital number, which indicates whether a change is detected by the pixel. The counter may count in one direction for a portion of an exposure and count in an opposite direction for another portion of the exposure. The imaging device may be configured to collect and transmit key frames at a lower rate, and collect and transmit delta or event frames at a higher rate. The key frames may include a full image of a scene, captured by the pixel array. The delta frames may include sparse data, captured by pixels that have detected meaningful changes in received light intensity. High speed, low transmission bandwidth motion image video can be reconstructed using the key frames and the delta frames.
