  • Patent number: 9300087
Abstract: A mounting plate assembly for securing a plug of a network cable to a jack of an electronic device. The assembly includes a mounting plate having an attachment mechanism that is configured for releasable locking engagement with the electronic device. Further, the mounting plate is adapted to be mounted to a mounting structure. The mounting plate includes inner passageway that is adapted to receive insertion of at least a portion of the plug. Additionally, the inner passageway is adapted to depress a locking clip of the inserted plug to a position that prevents the locking clip from lockingly engaging a protrusion in an aperture of the jack. Further, the retention member may include at least one arm that is configured to retain the plug in a relatively static position relative to the mounting plate when the plug is being received in, and removed from, the aperture of the jack.

  • Patent number: 9289421
Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods and pharmaceutical compositions for reducing the serum level of immunoglobulin IgE in an animal or human subject. It has been found that reducing or inhibiting the activity of the cannabinoid receptor CB2 leads to an increase in IgE in serum levels. Conversely, activation of the CB2 receptor by an agonist results in a reduction in IgE serum levels. The compositions and methods of the disclosure, therefore, provide a means to reduce or eliminate symptoms of immune system-related conditions resulting from IgE generation, such as an allergy, hay fever, and the like.

  • Publication number: 20150346053
Abstract: An optical frequency domain reflectometry (OFDR) measurement is produced from an OFDR apparatus that includes a tunable laser source coupled to a sensing interferometer and a monitor interferometer. The sensing interferometer is also coupled to a waveguide, e.g., an optical sensing fiber. Sensor interferometric data obtained by the OFDR measurement is processed in the spectral domain (e.g., frequency) with one or more parameters to compensate for the optical dispersion associated with the sensing interferometer data. A Fourier Transform of the dispersion-compensated sensing interferometric data in the spectral domain is performed to provide a dispersion-compensated OFDR measurement information in the temporal (e.g., time) domain.

  • Publication number: 20150149370
Abstract: A method for lawyers to communicate to courts has a client browser in bi-directional communication with a web application server and database. The database stores records and procedures for each court system and common functions applicable to any court system. A messaging subsystem provides messages populated with information from database records for delivery through the web application server to the client browser, or user. The method operates upon a docket of criminal cases, typically those without an in person trial. The invention allows real time collaboration between attorneys, prosecutors, and the court staff as modules. The attorney module has a tickler system that reminds the attorney about cases with open documents via email. The administrator module displays defendant data for a case. The prosecutor module generates a quick recommendation for disposition using information about a defendant placed into a template.

  • Patent number: 9025158
Abstract: An interferometric measurement system suppresses cross talk between optical waveguides used to measure one or more parameters. A first interferometric measurement channel coupled to a first waveguide, and a second interferometric measurement channel coupled to a second waveguide. At least one of the channels includes a reference light path in addition to the first and second waveguides. A reference path optical delay is associated with the reference light path, a first optical delay is associated with the input portion of at least one of the first and second interferometric measurement channels, and a second optical delay is associated with an output portion of the one interferometric measurement channel. A value of the first optical delay and a value the second optical delay are chosen to suppress crosstalk associated with the other of the first and second interferometric measurement channels in the one interferometric measurement channel over a predetermined length of the first waveguide.
