    Abstract: The present invention relates to a screw hole (12) in hardware parts (10), especially in metal furniture hardware, in which is screw with a given outside thread diameter provided with a truncoconical countersink head can be preinstalled. The hole (12) has a countersink (18) matching the truncoconical head of the screw, followed by a substantially cylindrical hole section (20) for the passage of the shaft of the screw. The inside diameter of the cylindrical hole section (20) is slightly smaller than the outside diameter of the screw shaft measured across the threads of the screw (14), and into the cylindrical hole section an internal thread (24) is worked into the cylindrical hole section, where the length of the threaded shaft as measured in the screw driving direction is shorter than that of the unthreaded shaft section of the screw adjoining the bottom of the countersink head.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a furniture hinge having a wall-related part shaped as an elongated supporting arm which can be mounted for adjustment in at least two coordinate directions on an associated mounting plate disposed on the wall of a cabinet carcase. The supporting arm is mounted and fastened on the mounting plate by a mounting screw driven into the mounting plate and passing through a slot provided at the inside end with an enlarged pass-through opening in the web of the supporting arm. A threaded spindle is screwed in a tap in the web of the supporting arm, which is situated further out from the carcase interior than the slot. At the bottom end of the spindle, on a neck of smaller diameter, is a head of larger diameter. This head is inserted into an open-ended slot provided in the mounting plate, which clutches the sides of the head, securing it against lifting away from the mounting plate.

    Abstract: A hinge housing for installation in an opening in a thin sheet wall of a door is provided. The hinge housing has a liner plate for installation along an underside thereof against an inside face of the wall, the liner plate having an opening which generally conforms to the opening in the wall, the liner plate having at least two first locking projections extending from the underside of the plate which can grip an outside face of the wall upon rotation of the lining plate. The hinge housing also has a fastening flange for installation against the upper side of the liner plate, the fastening flange having a cup portion and a flange portion extending radially from a rim of the cup portion, the outside perimeter of the cup portion generally conforming to the opening in the wall, such that when the fastening flange is installed against the liner plate, the flange portion covers the liner plate and the cup portion extends into the opening and through the wall.

    Abstract: Cabinet hinge whose door-related part in the form of a cup set in a mortise is articulated to the carcase-related part configured as an elongated supporting arm of inverted U-shaped cross section by two hinge links whose ends are journaled in the cup at one end and on the supporting arm at the other. A closing mechanism is provided in the door-end of the supporting arm and has a cam surface configured nonrotationally on the inner hinge link. A resiliently deformable section of one leg of a substantially U-shaped leaf spring engages the cam surface with bias, and the end remote from the cup of the other leg is fastened inside of the supporting arm by a section of the web of the latter. The inner hinge link has at the end by which it is mounted in the supporting arm two parallel ears formed by tabs cut and bent at right angles from the lateral margins of its end inside of the supporting arm.

    Abstract: Crosslink hinge for mounting a door on the carcass of a cabinet. The door-related part of the crosslink hinge can be affixed in a recess in the door and is composed of an attaching member and a link holder disposed in the attaching member. To vary the position of the door, the link holder is displaceable at right angles to the pivot axis of the hinge and parallel to the door back and can be fixed in the desired position. The carcass-related part of the hinge has on its bottom an inverted-T-shaped projection which can be inserted into a complementary T-shaped socket in its mounting plate. A set screw is threaded into the mounting plate to fix the carcass-related hinge part thereon.

    Abstract: A single-pivot cabinet hinge (10) for hanging doors has a cup (12) which can be fastened in a gain in the back of a door (16) and in which there is journaled one end of a pivot arm (24) whose other end bears a fastening plate (28) having a slot (30) engaged by a projection (60) of a mounting element (34) which can be fastened to the carcass of the cabinet. The fastening plate is displaceable on the mounting element (34) under the guidance of the projection and can be fixed at selectable positions by means of a fastening screw (50) which can be driven into the projection. The projection in turn is continuously adjustable in the mounting element (34) at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the slot and likewise fixable at selectable positions, so that the pivot arm together with the door cup is adjustable relative to the mounting element, and therefore a door hung by the hinge on a cabinet carcass is adjustable relative to the cabinet carcass, in coordinate directions at right angles to one another.

    Abstract: Furniture hinge (10) in the form of a four-joint hinge whose door-related part constructed as a recess-mounting cup (12) is pivotingly coupled by a four-joint mechanism formed by two hinge links (14;16) to a carcass-related hinge part which can be fastened to the carcass of a cabinet. One of the hinge links (14) is wider than the other hinge link (16) and, in the area between its ends, the wider hinge link (14) has an opening (38) whose width is equal to or greater than the width of the narrower hinge link (16). Therefore, when the hinge is in the open state, a portion between the ends of the narrower hinge link (16) can enter into the opening (38) in the wider hinge link (14), so that a larger opening angle is achieved than in the case of conventional four-joint hinges.

    Abstract: A hinge for pivotally mounting a door leaf on a cabinet with a box-like carcass having one open side, narrowed by a frame formed by strip-like frame members projecting each at right angles from a carcass wall toward an opposite carcass wall. The hinge has a door-leaf-related hinge part fastenable sunkenly in the back of the door leaf and, a frame-related hinge part which is pivotingly coupled by a link mechanism with the door-related hinge part. The frame-related part has a mounting piece fitted and mounted into the frame member recess and a block jointed by the link mechanism to the door-leaf-related hinge part and displaceably disposed in this recess parallel to the front side of the frame and at right angles to the end face of the corresponding frame member. The block is joined to the mounting part by a screw element whose threaded shank is in engagement with a counter-thread in the block and is held in the mounting piece rotatably but undisplaceably in the longitudinal direction of the shank.

    Abstract: In order to burn a fuel of low ignition properties and low contents of volatile gases in steam generators: the combustion air is introduced in three batches at three successive places into the firebox. Preferably, the primary air is introduced at a temperature of at least about 500.degree., preferably between 500.degree. and 600.degree. C. so as to effect a pregasification of the fuel. The secondary air is then introduced at a temperature of about 350.degree. to 400.degree. C. to start the combustion of the pregasified fuel and the tertiary air is finally introduced at a temperature of only about 250.degree. to 300.degree. C. in order to complete the combustion. This temperature differentiation of heat ranges then will permit to withdraw theash as a dry discharge.

    Abstract: A blower-beater mill for drying and milling material with a beater body and impeller arranged on the mill shaft. The beater arms of the beater body are fastened between hub rings on the shaft and water cooling is applied along the longitudinal axis of the mill shaft. The shaft is enclosed by a casing which extends to the impeller and is spaced from the shaft. In the region of the beater body, the casing has openings for the beater arms. The mill shaft also has hub rings between the beater body and the impeller. The casing is made up of U-shaped rings which overlap one or several hub rings. The rings have vertical legs inserted into passages between the hub rings. A passage behind the beater portion may be enlarged for fitting insert pins in the direction of the hub pins and lock washers may be placed between the front faces of the insert pins and the side faces of the hub rings. A gap may be located between the deflection disk of the impeller and the last U-shaped ring.

    Abstract: A blower beater mill for grinding and drying operations in which a rotor is provided with a beater portion located on the mill shaft and has also a fan impeller. Beater arms of a beater portion are fastened between hub rings of the mill shaft. The shaft is water-cooled along its longitudinal axis. Shaft crests of the hub rings are enclosed by a jacket at a spaced distance therefrom. The jacket is made of individual rings through which the beater arms pass. The width of these rings is slightly larger than the spacing between two adjacent rows of beater arms. The rings, moreover, overlap in the area of cutouts of the beater arms. The rings may have U-shaped profiles with vertical legs inserted together with the beater arms into grooves between the hub rings. The space between two adjacent U-shaped rings and two adjacent beater arms, located within one beater arm row, is covered by sheet metal connected to the rings and the beater arms.

    Abstract: An over-center hinge for cabinet doors, having two links in the manner of a quadruple joint, hinged at one end to a door member and at the other end to a wall member in the form of an elongated bearing arm, the links being movable through a dead-center position in the movement from the closed position to the open position, on the first side of which it is urged by the tension of a resilient element in the closing direction, and beyond which it is urged by the tension of the resilient element in the opening direction. The resilient element is disposed in the front, door-end portion of the bearing arm engaging with one end a projection at the bearing arm end of one of the links, which projection forms with the pivot axis of this link at the bearing arm end a lever arm which is so directed away from the pivot axis that it is biased by the resilient element in the hinge-closed position to a movement in the closing direction, and in the hinge-open position to a movement in the opening direction.
