  • Patent number: 7530847
Abstract: A wiring harness is disclosed. The wiring harness may have at least one conducting wire having a length direction, a first end, and an opposing second end. The wiring harness may also have a first electrical device connected to the first end of the at least one conducting wire, and a second electrical device connected to the second end of the at least one conducting wire. The wiring harness may further have a braided covering rigidly connected to the first and second electrical devices. The braided covering may be configured to house the at least one conducting wire and deform in the length direction less than the at least one conducting wire.

  • Patent number: 5577921
Abstract: A transformer assembly having an elongate body including a cup portion containing primary and secondary coils, a base portion, and a stem is adapted to be installed in a housing of a cylinder head. An electrical source extends through the stem and base portion. An electrical connecting system includes an electrical conductor adapted to receive the voltage source with a spring contacting the end of a spark plug terminal biasing the conductor in a director away from the spark plug in the installed position. The electrical connector system further includes a positioning device adapted to positive align and contain the transformer assembly within a valve mechanism compartment defined between a cover and the cylinder head. A spring member connected to the cup portion axially biases the electrical conductor in a direction toward the spring in contact with the spark plug terminal insuring an electrical connection.

  • Patent number: 5470253
Abstract: A wiring system for use with an engine or power module having a number of electrical systems includes a first electrical device of an electrical system, a second electrical device of the electrical system, and an electrical connector connected between the first and the second electrical devices to define an electrical circuit. The electrical connector includes alpha-numeric indicia identifying the electrical circuit. The alpha-numeric indicia include a first alpha-numeric indicium corresponding to the electrical system, a second alpha-numeric indicium corresponding to the first electrical device and a third alpha-numeric indicium corresponding to the second electrical device. The wiring system can also include a connection terminal disposed between the first and second electrical devices, wherein the electrical connector includes both first alpha-numeric indicia identifying the electrical circuit and second alpha-numeric identifying the connection terminal.

  • Patent number: 5221065
Abstract: Presently available mounting brackets do not permit preassembly or require expensive and time consuming methods of manufacture. It is desirable to provide a mounting bracket which may be inexpensively manufactured, allows easy insertion of a flexible securing element and which may be preassembled prior to attachment of an elongate article it supports. The subject arrangement provides a mounting bracket including a substantially flat, elongate body having a mounting end portion and a securing end portion. The securing end portion extends both longitudinally and at an oblique angle from the mounting end portion so that the securing end portion is spaced apart from a carrier member to which the mounting bracket is attached. The securing end portion permits installation of a flexible securing element securing thereto the elongate article to be supported.
