  • Patent number: 11977678
Abstract: A medical robotic system includes a viewer for displaying an image of a work site, a gaze tracker for tracking a gaze point of a user on the viewer, and a processor. The processor is configured to: draw an area or volume defining shape, overlaid on the image of the work site, in a position determined by the gaze tracker; assign a fixed virtual constraint to the shape and constrain movement of a robotic tool according to the fixed virtual constraint; receive a user selected action command selecting an image of patient anatomy; and superimpose the selected image of the patient anatomy over the image of the work site within the shape. The selected image of the patient anatomy is registered to the image of the work site.

  • Publication number: 20240147243
Abstract: An embodiment includes a method to increase the efficiency of security checkpoint operations. A security checkpoint kiosk serves as a Relying Party System (RPS). The RPS establishes a secure local connection between the RPS and a User Mobile-Identification-Credential Device (UMD). The RPS sends a user information request to the UMD, via the secure local connection, seeking release of user information associated with a Mobile Identification Credential (MIC). The RPS obtains authentication of the user information received in response to the user information request. The RPS retrieves user travel information based on the user information. The RPS determines that the user travel information matches the user information. When the user travel information matches the user information, the RPS approves the user to proceed past the security checkpoint kiosk.

  • Publication number: 20240089371
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for using deepfakes defensively to detect fake, spoofed, and hoax phone calls and videoconferences are provided. A program may record a target individual reciting exemplary phrases. The program may analyze the recordings to create a baseline. The program may use deepfake algorithms to create exemplar deepfake audiovisual representations of the target individual. The program may store the data in a database. The program may analyze, in real-time, a phone call or videoconference to determine whether they are legitimate or illegitimate by comparing the audio or audiovisual contents of the phone call or videoconference with the exemplar deepfakes. When the program determines the phone call or videoconference is illegitimate, the program may terminate the call or videoconference and inform the recipient and others.

  • Publication number: 20230380523
Abstract: The present invention is a fistula sleeve for covering and protecting a fistula on the inside of an arm. The sleeve grips the wrist and adjustably and snuggly fits around the wider contours of the arm without imparting pressure on the fistula. The sleeve partially opens to expose the fistula for dialysis and daily care. A narrower wrist region secures around the wrist. An elongated forearm region wraps around the forearm, and a smooth central region covers the fistula. The wrist and forearm regions are independently secured. Securement strips have semi-rigid backings that stiffen the side portions of the sleeve help secure and remove the sleeve with one hand, and form a spine to help maintain the alignment of the sleeve on the arm. A double layer of material is stitched together along its perimeter, while the inner layer is free to slide relative to the outer layer in the smooth central area that engages the fistula.
