  • Publication number: 20250005610
Abstract: The disclosed technology relates to methods, energy analysis computing devices, and non-transitory computer readable media for reducing local congestion and loss in electric power grids. In some examples, the technology obtains energy generation and wholesale price data from a balancing authority server. The energy generation data comprises wind generation, solar power generation, and thermal power resource data. A wind number value is generated, based on the wind generation and thermal power resource data, a solar boost value is generated, based on the solar power generation and thermal power resource data, and a regional clean energy factor value is generated based on the wind number and solar boost values. A local clean energy factor value is generated based on the regional clean energy factor value and the wholesale price data. A notification is sent to a user device when the local clean energy factor exceeds a threshold.

  • Publication number: 20240381526
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a printed circuit board (PCB) includes arranging a first trace segment of a trace on a substrate of the PCB, the substrate being composed of fiber glass strands that define a fiber glass weave pattern, and arranging a second trace segment of the trace on the substrate at a position that is fractionally offset from the first trace segment along an axis by a distance that is less than a ball grid array (BGA) pitch of a BGA based on the fiber glass weave pattern. The BGA pitch is a separation distance along the axis between a center of a first via of the BGA of the PCB and a center of a second via of the BGA.

  • Publication number: 20240320721
Abstract: In one embodiment, a unique (or quasi unique) identifier can be received by an application store, or other on-line store, and the store can create a signed receipt that includes data desired from the unique identifier. This signed receipt is then transmitted to a device that is running the application obtained from the on-line store and the device can verify the receipt by deriving the unique (or quasi-unique) identifier from the signed receipt and comparing the derived identifier with the device identifier stored on the device, or the vendor identifier assigned to the application vendor.

  • Patent number: 12067887
Abstract: A method and system for developing a flight plan for taking images from an area of interest is disclosed. A series of trajectories is determined. Each trajectory is determined based on a logarithmic spiral curve derived from a range of predetermined basis angles and selecting a constant tangent angle between a radial line from the location of an image sensor to a target location, and a tangent line to the logarithmic spiral curve at the location of the image sensor. A set of trajectories from the series of trajectories is selected. The selected trajectories are scaled to cover the area of interest. The selected trajectories are transformed to coordinates corresponding to the area of interest. The set of scaled and transformed trajectories are stored as the flight plan for taking images of the area of interest.

  • Patent number: 12015538
Abstract: A system of specifying link layer information in a URL is described. In an embodiment, a URL is generated which includes both a link layer network type and information which is used by a resolving device to identify a particular link layer network of the specified type. In various embodiments, the URL includes a link layer network type and a corresponding link layer network name or pairs of link layer network types and corresponding link layer network names. Where the URL comprises more than one link layer network name, the resolving device may determine at runtime which of the named link layer networks to connect to and this decision may be based on criteria or preference information included within the URL.

  • Publication number: 20240089371
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for using deepfakes defensively to detect fake, spoofed, and hoax phone calls and videoconferences are provided. A program may record a target individual reciting exemplary phrases. The program may analyze the recordings to create a baseline. The program may use deepfake algorithms to create exemplar deepfake audiovisual representations of the target individual. The program may store the data in a database. The program may analyze, in real-time, a phone call or videoconference to determine whether they are legitimate or illegitimate by comparing the audio or audiovisual contents of the phone call or videoconference with the exemplar deepfakes. When the program determines the phone call or videoconference is illegitimate, the program may terminate the call or videoconference and inform the recipient and others.

  • Publication number: 20240082108
Abstract: Prescription medications, especially opioids, are often abused. The present invention provides a pill dispensing device that is designed to reduce misuse, diversion, and pilfering or prescribed opioids or other medications that may require regulated dispensing. The device of the present invention securely holds a repository of pills and dispenses a single pill only after the allotted prescribed time interval and only after verification of the correct user through the biometric ID device. The dispensing device includes a locked tamper-resistant outer housing, a biometric ID device, a display for alerting the user to critical information, (such as time to the next pill and number of pills remaining) and a secure mechanical pill dispensing mechanism.

  • Publication number: 20230380523
Abstract: The present invention is a fistula sleeve for covering and protecting a fistula on the inside of an arm. The sleeve grips the wrist and adjustably and snuggly fits around the wider contours of the arm without imparting pressure on the fistula. The sleeve partially opens to expose the fistula for dialysis and daily care. A narrower wrist region secures around the wrist. An elongated forearm region wraps around the forearm, and a smooth central region covers the fistula. The wrist and forearm regions are independently secured. Securement strips have semi-rigid backings that stiffen the side portions of the sleeve help secure and remove the sleeve with one hand, and form a spine to help maintain the alignment of the sleeve on the arm. A double layer of material is stitched together along its perimeter, while the inner layer is free to slide relative to the outer layer in the smooth central area that engages the fistula.
