    Abstract: A cable light includes a battery receptacle that is electrically coupled to a first light module and a second light module. The battery receptacle includes a battery port that receives and retains a battery, such as a power tool battery pack. The first light module and the second light module each include a housing supporting a lens, a light emitter such as an LED, a reflector, and a hanger to hang the light modules on a workpiece. The first light module is electrically coupled to the battery receptacle, and the second light module is electrically coupled to the battery receptacle via a connection with the first light module. The battery receptacle communicates electrical power from the battery pack to the light modules to power the light emitters.
