  • Patent number: 9958444
Abstract: According to one aspect, a system for sensing ethanol from human skin, that comprises at least one apparatus for sensing ethanol and a coupling matrix readout extraction unit for performing a method of extracting a coupling-matrix readout. The at least one sensing apparatus and the coupling matrix readout extraction may be mounted on a substrate. The substrate may be adapted such that it can be formed into a wearable accessory that can be worn by a human subject. When the wearable accessory is worn by the human subject such that the subject provides a skin tissue sample to the accessory, the presence or concentration of ethanol and other compounds may be determined from the vapor associated with the tissue sample.

  • Publication number: 20050170688
Abstract: Disclosed is an in-line socket device and its fabricating method. The in-line socket device is covered with a cover shell, and has a movable safety cover connected with one end of the cover shell. The socket device is composed of a base and a base cover, in which one end of the base is open and the other end has three plug sockets. A plurality of axial slots are formed inside the opened end for covering up wires, and terminals are provided within axial slots to make the crimping end and the bared wire to be clipped; accordingly, partial sections of the wires connected with the terminal crimping end can crimp the bared wire through peeling off the PVC cover layer of the section, so that the integrity of wires can be ensured and the problem of power consumption or fallen off from the connection can be prevented.

  • Patent number: 6431729
Abstract: The present invention generally relates with filling air string unit in decorative lighting string. This filling air string which to make the lighting string to expandable or to shrinkable with lighting device and the firm device. This filling air string is made up from soften plastics which has a filling air room. The lighting string will made up into many different kind of shapes when volume expansion when expand and sufficient the air. The lighting string will minimize the volume when emit the air. This filling air volume has a gas room in the central that has some capacity for this lighting device. As this lighting device firm in the central of this gas room to be able to reveal any kind of shapes and clearly to showing the lighting string while rising this filling air string.

  • Patent number: 6215406
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for detecting ignited flammable gas in a conduit or for detecting the impurity content of a gas composition are described. In the apparatus, a sensor body is provided which is equipped with at least one perforated isolator plate for slowing down the flow of an ignited flammable gas when fed back into the cavity of the detection apparatus. The sensor body further includes at least one optical sensor mounted juxtaposed to a gas inlet for sensing an ignited flammable gas and for sending a signal to a controller for shutting off the flammable gas supply. The present invention novel apparatus can further be utilized to detect the impurity level in a gas composition, and to detect any reaction product between a flammable gas and a material that forms the chamber component.

  • Patent number: 6202667
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for stopping the propagation of an ignited flammable gas in a conduit used in semiconductor processing are proposed and described. In the apparatus, a mounting mechanism and a bullet are provided inside an elongated conduit body wherein the bullet is detachably mounted to the mounting means, while the mounting mechanism is fixedly attached to an inside wall of the elongated conduit body. The bullet is equipped with an explosive pack in a body portion and a bullet head in a head portion. When a flame from an ignited flammable gas enters the conduit and ignites the explosive pack, the bullet is propelled into and frictionally engaging the inlet end of the conduit body such that an internal passageway in the inlet end is substantially blocked to prevent the further propagation of flame upstream into the conduit.

  • Patent number: 5226726
Abstract: A foldable lantern comprises a frame body (10) composed of two crossed base members (11) each having at its two ends a corner post retaining hole (111) and at its middle a center post retaining hole (112). A center post (22) with it reduced diameter section (23) passing through the holes (112) makes the two base members (11) to be able to pivot each other to cause the frame body (10) extendible and foldable. The center post (22) with its upper end extended to become a lamp holder (20). The cross members having four corner posts (12) inserted with their upper sections (121) serving as a tightener of a tent or screen (50) while the lower section (122) as leg for upstanding of the lantern (10). A hanger ring (24) is provided at the bottom of the frame for hanging up-side-down of the lantern whenever called for. Stopper means is provided along side the cross member to prevent them from over extending.
