  • Patent number: 5364303
Abstract: An air vent comprising a first row of air vanes for controlling the lateral orientation of air emitted from the air vent and a second row of air vanes for controlling the vertical orientation of air emitted from the air vent. The first and second row of air vanes can be adjusted independently. The first row of air vanes has a control vane to which is mounted a control knob. The control knob is connected to the second row of air vanes by a ball joint mounted pin, whereby the vertical movement of the control knob results in rotation of the second row of air vanes about a horizontal axis. The control knob is connected to the first row of air vanes by links. The lateral movement of the control knob results in a corresponding parallel rotational movement of the first row of air vanes to control the lateral position of a concentrated stream of the air emitted from the air vent.

  • Patent number: 5184138
Abstract: The data distribution network (DDN) improves processing throughputs (eight million bytes per second) whenever high data rates of unsorted data are input to a processing system by combining synethetic (hash) addresses with look-up tables. The DDN includes coarse steering logic, fine steering logic, and assignment logic for partially sorting and filtering data so that subsequent analysis procedures can find the data in a more orderly form. This increase the pulse density handling capability of a processing system without major size and weight impact.

  • Patent number: 4487008
Abstract: A skid is provided for supporting a drawn implement, such as a mower. The skid includes a convex ground-engaging disc mounted to a support for rotation about a first axis. The support is adapted to be attached to the implement for rotation about a second axis. The first and second axes are co-planar and form an acute angle.

  • Patent number: 4265579
Abstract: A bulk material unloader in which a clamshell bucket is suspended from a boom which is luffed from a position over the material to be unloaded through the vertical to a position over a bulk material receiving hopper. The hoists and/or the anchors for the bucket hold and close ropes are mounted on the unloader base on the opposite side of the hopper from the boom pivot such that the suspended length of the hold and close ropes is increased as the boom is luffed through the vertical and the bucket is thereby lowered into the hopper with the hoists remaining inactive until the bucket is in position to be opened and discharged with minimum dusting effect.

  • Patent number: 4157550
Abstract: A microwave detector comprises a tapered ridged horn that terminates in a ridged waveguide formed with a slot extending through a broad wall of the waveguide and through the ridge that accommodates a stripline positioned so that a pair of diodes are connected across the gap between the ridge and the broad wall and brought out through stepped conductors dimensioned to function as low pass filters.

  • Patent number: 3935124
Abstract: A liquid anti-stick coating composition for coating and detackifying solid articles of uncured elastomeric materials, such as uncured rubber pellets, initially having sticky or tacky surface properties. The composition basically consists of an aqueous slurry containing a substantial proportion of finely divided particles of a kaolin clay, a sufficient amount of a water-soluble soap to provide bridging and tieing between the charge sites on the kaolin particles and the tacky surfaces of the uncured articles to thereby adhere a layer of a kaolin particles to the tacky surfaces, and a sufficient amount of water to disperse the clay particles. The coating composition may also include a dispersing and viscosity improving component such as sodium polyphosphate or a mixture of the latter and sodium sulfate for the purpose of maintaining the clay particles in suspension and maintaining the viscosity of the slurry at a workable level.
