  • Patent number: 4035066
Abstract: Equipment to test psychologically drivers of all kinds of motor vehicles, and in particular, to test stereoscopic vision. The testing of stereoscopic vision consists in checking up the competence of spatial perception, necessary for distance evaluation. The equipment consists of two main parts: a measuring and recording device, and a control desk of the tested person. The test consists of aligning two measuring rods with the third one, which is in the middle, and is immobilized. The tested person looks through a slot in the wall of the control desk, and operates an aligning mechanism. The results of the test are automatically recorded on the recording plate of the equipment.

  • Patent number: 4006539
Abstract: This equipment tests several psycho-physiological functions, the main of which is the study of optical and material coordination. It is used for testing the alertness and rate of perception of the tested subject. The equipment consists of the following main components: a) Control mechanism; b) pulser; c) intermittent flash signals and their relay mechanism; d) testing timer; and e) recording mechanism (counter).Pulsations are omitted with a selected frequency which are transformed into flash signals, or other signs, pictures or symbols, which are visible on the frosted glass in the different spaces and at a different rate of speed. Testing can be performed in two ways:1. Frequency of flash signals is automatic.2. Frequency of flash signals is mechanical.

  • Patent number: 3973332
Abstract: The equipment tests kinesthesic abilities of the tested person's extremities. Although it tests psychologically drivers of all kinds of motor vehicles, this equipment can be also used in a variety of different situations. The equipment consists of the following elements: (a) controlling and recording module; (b) dynamometer with a pressure indicator, which is connected with the recording module; (c) an adjustable seat for the tested person. In the testing method the dynamometer pedal is pressed with a certain strength. The tested person must remember this strain and repeat the procedure several times. The preliminary pressure and the subsequent ones are registered on the recording module in numerical form.

  • Patent number: 3972132
Abstract: This device tests drivers of all kinds of motor vehicles psychologically, and can be also used in a variety of different situations. It includes the following main components:A. Arrangement of two measuring levers at a certain angle to each other; the inner rims of the levers form a measuring scale, which is connected by wires to a recording device.B. Optical interference device in the form of a rotating disc on which certain lines are painted.C. Probe.D. Recording Scale. The tested subject holds the probe in his hand and leads it between the two measuring levers, starting from the wider end towards the narrow end. Behind the measuring levers is a rotating disc which serves as an optical interference device. Each contact of the probe with the measuring levers is recorded electrically on the recording scale.

  • Patent number: 3971143
Abstract: The equipment is to test psychologically drivers of all kinds of motor vehicles. With this equipment one can test the competence in evaluating speed, which is based on the psychophysiological attribute, that is, the ability of perceiving motion.Inside the casing, are located the electric system of the equipment and the driving mechanisms of the two disks. The left disk rotates with a constant rotational speed and has three constant rates of rotational speed. The right disk has three rates of variable speed, regulated automatically within certain limits by the tested person. The test consists in the tested person trying to regulate the rotation speed of the right disk in order to obtain the same rotation speed as on the left disk, within a specified period of time. The result of the test consists in measuring the differences in rotation speeds of both disks, as recorded automatically on the scale of the tachograph.
