  • Patent number: 12370714
Abstract: Systems and methods which provide control of lubricant delivery with respect to chainsaws using a lubricant flow shutoff valve controlled in correspondence to an operational state of the chainsaw. A chainsaw lubricant delivery control system includes a lubricant flow shutoff valve and a chainsaw operation-based valve controller operable cooperatively to provide control of lubricant delivery to the cutting chain and guide bar assembly of a chainsaw. The chainsaw operation-based valve controller is coupled to an operationally active element of the chainsaw wherein the chainsaw operation-based valve controller may control the lubricant flow shutoff valve between an open position and a closed position responsive to detecting a particular state of the operationally active element corresponding to an operational state of the chainsaw.

Abstract: Systems and methods which provide control of lubricant delivery with respect to chainsaws using a lubricant flow shutoff valve controlled in correspondence to an operational state of the chainsaw are described. A chainsaw lubricant delivery control system may include a lubricant flow shutoff valve and a chainsaw operation-based valve controller operable cooperatively to provide control of lubricant delivery to the cutting chain and guide bar assembly of a chainsaw. The chainsaw operation-based valve controller may be coupled to an operationally active element of the chainsaw wherein the chainsaw operation-based valve controller may control the lubricant flow shutoff valve between an open position and a closed position responsive to detecting a particular state of the operationally active element corresponding to an operational state of the chainsaw. Chainsaw lubricant delivery may prevent or otherwise discourage unintended leakage of lubricant from the chainsaw lubrication system.

  • Publication number: 20070138724
Abstract: A handheld, portable, motorized clamping device is disclosed. The device includes a housing, a frame, a stationary clamp member, and a displaceable clamp member. The displaceable clamp member may be repositioned by a drive assembly, or may be manually adjusted. In another embodiment of the invention, the stationary clamp member may be repositioned on the frame to alter the dimensions of the clamp opening. In still another embodiment, the clamp device operatively connects to a secondary tool that engages the drive assembly.

  • Publication number: 20070000138
Abstract: A portable, hand-operated trimmer has a head module that is removably connected to a power control module. The head module has a power head enclosing an electric motor that is operatively connected to a trimming blade. The power head is selectably settable in a plurality of angular positions with respect to a head support, including a neutral position representing 0 degree rotation, 45 degree flexion and dorsiflexion positions, and 90 degree flexion and dorsiflexion positions. The power head also encloses a stator cartridge that is connected to the housing of the power head by a plurality of fastening members. The head support rotates about the stator cartridge and is engaged by way of a movable engagement pin that is received within a selected recess defined in the stator cartridge. The power head housing and stator cartridge further define molded sockets to receive corresponding pivot arms of the head support. An O-ring is disposed about one of the pivot arms to dampen free rotation.

  • Publication number: 20060048397
Abstract: An elongated pole pruner for cutting and trimming trees, bushes and the like having three separable sections, that when assembled, form an extended length pruner. The pole pruner includes a first section containing a handle and battery pack, a second extension section, and a third section that contains the purner itself. Each of the sections contains an electrical conductor that is attached to corresponding conductor in an adjacent pole sections via a male plug and female receptacle. In this way, the battery pack in the first section of the pole is able to deliver power through the second section to the pruner in the third section.

  • Publication number: 20040237228
Abstract: A scrubbing device has a scrubbing head with a cleaning member rotatably coupled to an electrical motor within the scrubbing head. A support member is coupled with the scrubbing head and a handle. The handle includes a switch for activating the electric motor. A first fluid source is coupled with the scrubbing head for spraying a first fluid on a surface to be cleaned. A second fluid source is coupled with the scrubbing head to spray a second fluid on the surface to be cleaned.
