  • Publication number: 20140357505
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of determining vascular health in a subject. The method includes the steps of obtaining a biological sample from the subject, obtaining microparticle data based on the level of at least one set of microparticles in the biological sample, obtaining progenitor cell data based on the level of at least one set of progenitor cells in the biological sample, generating a cytometric fingerprint of the biological sample based on the microparticle and progenitor cell data, and determining the vascular health of the subject based on the generated cytometric fingerprint.

  • Patent number: 7845948
Abstract: A method and device for training persons to remain within a safety zone. An emitter establishes a safety zone that is not to be exceeded by the person, and an adjuster may be operatively connected to the emitter to adjust the size and position of the safety zone. A sensor is placed away from the emitter to indicate when the person moves outside of the safety zone. The method comprises activating the emitter and positioning the person within the safety zone. When the person nears the signal or exits the safety zone, an alarm is indicated to the person and/or a facilitator. Upon return to the safety zone, the alarm may be deactivated and the training procedure within the safety zone can continue.

  • Publication number: 20050143928
Abstract: The present invention relates to a computationally efficient method of finding patterns in any data that can be expressed in the form of arrays of binary features or arrays of categorical features. This includes data represented by continuous-valued attributes that can be transformed to a categorical representation, such as the discovery of patterns of genetic variability that may be causally related to diseases or traits, as well as the discovery of patterns of protein biomarkers that may be used for medical diagnostics, prognostics, and therapeutics. The invention further relates to a program storage device having instructions for controlling a computer system to perform the methods, and to a program storage device containing data structures used in the practice of the methods.

  • Patent number: 6285932
Abstract: The present invention is directed to computerized vehicle servicing and diagnostic systems that communicate with or access remotely located computers via the Internet that have pre-stored data or utilize pre-store data and parameters. The present system provides a navigational framework with two modules, the Menu Mode (random) and the Wizard Mode (sequential). The Menu Mode provides direct access to any required process and Wizard Mode provides a flexible control of process sequences and allows for user modification.
