  • Publication number: 20150220513
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for personifying communications. According to at least one embodiment, the computer-implemented method for personifying a natural-language communication includes observing a linguistic pattern of a user. The method may also include analyzing the linguistic pattern of the user and adapting the natural-language communication based at least in part on the analyzed linguistic pattern of the user. In some embodiments, observing the linguistic pattern of the user may include receiving data indicative of the linguistic pattern of the user. The data may be one of verbal data or written data. Written data may include at least one of a text message, email, social media post, or computer-readable note. Verbal data may include at least one of a recorded telephone conversation, voice command, or voice message.

  • Publication number: 20150222578
Abstract: Methods and systems are described for managing and adding user profiles to access an automation system. According to at least one embodiment, the computer-implemented method includes receiving a request to add a user to an automation system. The request is generated from one of a mobile computing device or an automation controller of the automation system. The method further includes receiving contact information for the user and generating a message to send to the user. The message includes an invitation to the automation system. The method also includes sending the message to the user.

  • Publication number: 20150160797
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for improved graphical user interfaces suitable for monitoring and controlling home automation, security, and/or energy management systems. In some embodiments, rules of different types may be displayed in, and controlled from, a list view. The graphical user interface may display a list of rules associated with generic automation rules and context-associated automation rules. List items may be associated with suggested automation rules, notification rules, or both. The list of rule items may include items associated with a property context or an external condition context. Items may be included in the list based, at least in part, on the current property context, the current external condition context, or both. In some instances, the system may be communicatively coupled to a third-party information service.

  • Publication number: 20150082225
Abstract: Methods and systems are described for providing a graphical user interface suitable for viewing and modifying home automation, home security, and/or energy management devices. In some embodiments, the graphical user interface may include a scene selection list displaying multiple selectable items representing various scenes. In certain instances, control and monitoring of one or more devices may at least be accessed through a transitory user interface element such as, for example, a drawer control, a pullable view, or the like. Multiple device states may be set in accordance with a scene definition associated with a selectable list item in a scene selection list displayed in the transitory user interface element. The contents of the scene selection, in certain embodiments, may be determined in part based on a detected application context, user context, or both.

  • Publication number: 20150074582
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for an improved graphical user interfaces suitable for monitoring home automation, security, and/or energy management systems. In some embodiments, the graphical user interface may include a summary list of device states, including a security device state. In some embodiments, one or more configurable lists of context-associated state types may be provided. The summary list of device states may include, for example, one or more device state list items associated with a detected context. In some instances, the system may include configuration of meta-devices. Meta-devices may include a combination of multiple devices, multiple meta-devices, or both. In some embodiments, meta-devices may be associated with one or more sensors, feature controllers, and/or security systems. A meta-device may indicate any type of relationship between sensor and/or feature controllers such as, for example, a property feature, a physical location, and/or an area associated with a property.
