    Abstract: A secure messaging system utilizing a limited viewing window is disclosed. The secure messaging system may prevent an entire message or image from being displayed at a single time. The secure messaging system may display the message on a first virtual layer. The secure messaging system may display a virtual smokescreen layer that conceals the first virtual layer from display. The secure messaging system may enable a visibility window allowing a small portion of the message or image to be displayed through the virtual smokescreen layer. The secure messaging system may delete the message in response to a detected attempted screenshot of the message or image.
