  • Patent number: 8228752
Abstract: A memory circuit includes a first memory array, a second memory array and a switch module, wherein the first memory array has a first node and a second node, the second memory array has a third node and a fourth node, the first node is coupled to a first supply voltage, and the fourth supply voltage is coupled to a second supply voltage smaller than the first supply voltage. The switch module is coupled to the second node, the third node, the first supply voltage and the second supply voltage. When the memory circuit is operated under an inactive mode, the switch module electrically connects the second node to the third node, electrically disconnects the second node from the second supply voltage, and electrically disconnects the third node from the first supply voltage.

  • Publication number: 20070257489
Abstract: Coupled magnetic rotary discs for power generating comprises a plurality of vertical and horizontal rotary discs each having two strong permanent magnets, the rotary discs are interconnected by gears, chain wheels or constant velocity universal joints, etc., so that they rotate synchronously. Each of the vertical rotary discs is located close to a corresponding horizontal rotary disc, and a position at which the magnets meet after each 360-degree rotation of the respective rotary discs is fixed. The polarity direction of the permanent magnets on the respective rotary discs are properly arranged to prevent the generation of magnetic rotary drag force, the magnets on the horizontal rotary discs are subjected to a push force and an attraction force of the permanent magnets on the vertical discs; the respective vertical rotary discs are arranged at different rotary angular positions so that the horizontal discs will be subjected to a magnetic force at certain angle interval of rotation.

  • Patent number: 6873852
Abstract: A system and method of estimating the position of a mobile terminal (MT) operating in a radio telecommunications network. Expected Received Signal Strength (RSS) values are predicted by a computer-aided prediction tool, and/or are measured by a test MT from base station transceivers. The predicted and measured RSS values are then tagged to indicate whether each value was predicted or measured. The RSS values are then stored at a plurality of locations in a database. When RSS measurements are received from the MT being located, a covariance matrix is used to compute metrics for the locations in the database. If more than a threshold percentage of the locations were populated with measured values, a Maximum-Likelihood (ML) estimator is used to estimate the position of the MT. If fewer than the threshold percentage of locations were populated with measured values, a Minimum-Mean-Square-Error (MMSE) estimator is used to estimate the position.
