  • Patent number: 12359473
Abstract: An anti-theft device for securing merchandise against theft. The anti-theft device has a stand that mounts onto a display surface. A pair of arms is disposed in a linear sliding relationship relative to the stand. The arms terminate with inwardly facing grips that receive the opposing edges or corners of the merchandise. The arms have gear racks operatively engaged by a pinion gear. The pinion gear is joined to a concentrically aligned worm wheel, which is operatively engaged by a worm. A motor is configured to selectively spin the worm in the first or the second direction, thereby selectively retracting or extending the arms relative to the stand to secure or release the merchandise, respectively. The worm drive immobilizes the arms against being extended from the stand using manual force, thereby locking the merchandise to the stand. A fob may be used to transmit a signal that actuates the motor.

  • Patent number: 12357295
Abstract: The disclosure provides apparatus and methods of use pertaining to syndesmosis reinforcement. Embodiments include a clamp having two jaws that extend toward each other to clamp two bone portions therebetween. The clamp may include an angle gauge and an adjustment mechanism having a force gauge that combine to enable the compression of the two bone portions in an optimal direction or angle and at an optimal, measurable compression force. Embodiments also include a tension instrument configured to knotlessly lock a flexible strand construct between two anchors at the same optimal direction and tension applied by the clamp. Further embodiments include an exemplary syndesmosis reinforcement procedure that employs the clamp and the tension instrument to construct a ligament reinforcement construct that achieves optimal anatomic positioning in both directional alignment and the reduction force applied by the construct. • Patent number: 12357324
Abstract: An intraosseous access device for accessing an intraosseous space of a patient includes a manual driver and a sternal locator. The handle is connected to an inner penetrator hub, and an inner penetrator extends from the inner penetrator hub. An outer penetrator hub is releasably engaged to the inner penetrator hub. A protective cover is slidably coupled to the handle. The protective cover is operable to move from an extended position where the inner penetrator is covered, to a retracted position where the inner penetrator is exposed. The sternal locator includes a base; a collar extending from a first surface of the base for securing the intraosseous access device to restrict longitudinal separation of the intraosseous access device from the locator. • Patent number: 12359472
Abstract: An anti-theft device for securing a laptop computer or a similar electronic device against theft. The anti-theft device has a stand that mounts onto a display surface. A pair of arms is disposed in a linear sliding relationship relative to a housing affixed to the stand. The arms terminate with inwardly grips that receive the opposing edges of a lid portion of a laptop. The arms have gear racks operatively engaged by a pinion gear, which is joined to a concentrically aligned ratchet gear. A pawl operatively engages the ratchet gear, permitting the ratchet gear and the pinion gear to rotate only in one direction, while precluding reverse rotation. Thus, the adjustable arms can inwardly retract while the pawl engages the ratchet gear, but cannot outwardly extend. A solenoid is disposed within the housing and, when energized, retracts the pawl away from the ratchet gear, thus unlocking the arms.

  • Publication number: 20250226656
Abstract: A method for providing multi-layer protection from faults for a power generation plant is provided. The method includes monitoring, via a system-level controller, one or more parameters at a first plurality of distributed generation resources. The method also includes implementing, via the system-level controller, a fault protection mode upon the one or more parameters of the first plurality of distributed generation resources exceeding a first threshold. Specifically, the fault protection mode includes implementing a time delay, and after the time delay, commanding, via the system-level controller, a trip of the first feeder breaker on a first feeder line. The method also includes exiting the fault protection mode when the one or more parameters of the first plurality of distributed generation resources are equal to or fall below the first threshold.

  • Patent number: 12350113
Abstract: Medical software tools platforms utilize a surgical display to provide access to specific medical software tools, such as medically-oriented applications or widgets, that can assist surgeons or surgical team in performing various procedures. In particular, an endoscopic camera may register the momentary rise in the optical signature reflected from a tissue surface and in turn transmit it to a medical image processing system which can also receive patient heart rate data and display relevant anomalies. Changes in various spectral components and the speed at which they change in relation to a source of stimulus (heartbeat, breathing, light source modulation, etc.) may indicate the arrival of blood, contrast agents or oxygen absorption. Combinations of these may indicate various states of differing disease or margins of tumors, and so forth. Also, changes in temperatures, physical dimensions, pressures, photoacoustic pressures and the rate of change may indicate tissue anomalies in comparison to historic values.

  • Patent number: 12354156
Abstract: A system and method of data extraction is disclosed. An image file of a scan of a printed information list is received at a server via a network connection. When not in portable document format, the received image file is processed with an optical character recognition (OCR) engine at the server to identify all text therein and then the processed image file is stored in a memory. When in portable document format, the image file is processed using metadata and positional data at the server to generate sentences; process the sentences to identify prices, descriptions, items, and categories; link each identified item to an associated price, description, and category; and extract and link all modifiers from identified description, and then all identified and extracted information is stored in memory. A user interface is provided to a user via the server for graphically visualizing and editing a stored processed file.

  • Patent number: 12352126
Abstract: A seal arrangement includes a seal assembly and a seal subassembly in operable contact with the seal assembly. The seal subassembly is configured to impart energy to the seal assembly to promote sealing of the seal assembly with a mating surface. A non-sealing feature of the seal subassembly depends from the seal subassembly and is interactive with a load shoulder of a structure adjacent the seal subassembly. The seal arrangement redirects a mechanical load path through the seal subassembly to the non-sealing feature, during use. A method of protecting a seal subassembly from reverse loading is by redirecting a load path through a seal subassembly to a non-sealing feature, while also permitting pressure energizing of the seal assembly by the seal subassembly in a sealing direction. A downhole system includes a borehole in a formation, a string in the borehole, and a seal.

  • Patent number: 12347046
Abstract: Systems and methods described herein allow a customer to employ AR/VR software to generate virtual representations of physical spaces (e.g., house) and sub-spaces (e.g., living room) to preview virtual objects situated in AR/VR virtual environments. A commerce system (or mobile app associated with the commerce system) may generate virtualized environments representing a physical space (e.g., house, apartment) and regions (e.g., living room, kitchen) based on source images uploaded to or otherwise captured by the commerce system. The end-user may operate the software on a client device and interacts with VR or AR presentations of the virtual environment using a voice-based interface recognized by the software. For example, the end-user may say the name of room (region) or an object and the system retrieves data of the identified room or an appropriate room, such as virtual representations of furniture or objects situated in the room.

  • Patent number: 12345431
Abstract: A multi-zone environmental control system such as an HVAC and/or an IAQ control system includes a control module, a primary user interface, and at least one secondary user interface. The control module is configured to control an environmental system and controlled devices, each device associated with a respective zone. The primary user interface is in communication with the control mode and associated with a first zone. The primary user interface displays information to the user, receives inputs from the user regarding control of at least the first zone, and transmits signals to the control module, which then controls the device associated with the first zone. Each secondary user interface is associated with a zone other than the first zone and is configured to display information to the user, receive an input from the user concerning control of the respective zone, and communicate with the primary user interface.
