Publication number: 20240090678Abstract: A method and bed system for controlling a mattress climate-control system based on a thermal event. The bed system includes a mattress, a mattress climate-control system, a mechanical thermal detector, and a controller. The mattress climate-control system controls a climate at the mattress. The mechanical thermal detector is positioned at the mattress. A condition of the mechanical thermal detector changes in response to a thermal event at the mattress. The controller is connected to the mattress climate-control system. The controller perform operations including detecting the condition of the mechanical thermal detector and operating the mattress climate-control system based on the condition of the mechanical thermal detector.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 15, 2023Publication date: March 21, 2024Inventors: John Saycocie, Reuben Wesley Meline, Bruce William Gaunt, Cory Lee Grabinger, Wade Daniel Palashewski, Nick Reynolds

Publication number: 20230349516Abstract: An odorant masking system is provided that may be used to introduce an odorant masking agent to natural gas released via a vent stack system. When the odorant masking system senses a pressure increase due to a controlled natural gas release (e.g., during a system blowdown), some of the natural gas is diverted through the system, and odorant masking agent is released from a storage tank. The diverted natural gas and the odorant masking agent subsequently may be mixed and introduced to the natural gas being released through the vent stack system. The mixture of diverted gas and odorant masking agent preferably takes the form of a spray that, when introduced to the natural gas at the vent stack, reduces or even neutralizes the foul smell of odorant associated with the controlled release of natural gas.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 7, 2023Publication date: November 2, 2023Inventors: Mitchell Von Borstel, Wade Williams, Stephen Russell Sams

Publication number: 20230129888Abstract: A hydrogen infusion system is provided that introduces hydrogen to a natural gas pipeline in order to reduce greenhouse gas emission of the pipeline. The system uses pressure differentials between the hydrogen and the natural gas pipeline to introduce the hydrogen, and as a result the system does not use a pump or any method of compression to enter the pipeline.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 18, 2022Publication date: April 27, 2023Inventors: Wade Williams, Stephen Russell Sams

Patent number: 11111762Abstract: This disclosure provides a dissolvable sealing joint system that can be used in an improved method of sealing a multi-lateral well junction. The sealing joint system is comprised of a dissolvable junction subassembly that can be easily removed after a sealing operation is conducted. A tapered end of the dissolvable junction subassembly is inserted in a liner of a secondary wellbore, and a seal located about the tapered end is sealed against the top of the liner and a no-go shoulder of dissolvable junction subassembly. Once a seal is established, an isolation fluid is pumped into the junction area via a fluid port located in the dissolvable junction subassembly. A method of isolating a wellbore junction is also presented.Type: GrantFiled: April 29, 2017Date of Patent: September 7, 2021Assignee: Halliburton Energy Services, Inc.Inventors: John Hudson Hales, Brett Wade Williams, Joseph George Blakey, Peter C.
