  • Patent number: 12323907
Abstract: Spatial compute devices form an ad-hoc communication network that comprises includes point-to-point wireless links between the spatial compute devices. The spatial compute devices exchange application data for a user application over the ad-hoc communication network. The spatial compute devices indicate their ad-hoc communication network, user application, and application users to an application server system. A new spatial compute device detects the ad-hoc communication network and queries the application server system. The application server system responds to the new device with the application users that are currently using the user application over the ad-hoc communication network. The new device presents to a user the application users that are currently using the user application over the ad-hoc network, and in response, receives a user selection of the user application.

  • Publication number: 20240421969
Abstract: Methods, systems, and a non-transitory computer-readable medium that provide a sanctuary antenna for mitigating FDD carrier degradation during TDD antenna sharing are provided. The method begins with determining that the carrier degradation will occur during at least one FDD receive signal slot in a FDD frequency band on at least one antenna of the TDD frequency band based on the at least one FDD receive signal slot coinciding with at least one scheduled TDD transmit slot. Then, based on the determining, switching at least one scheduled FDD receive signal slot from the at least one antenna of the TDD frequency band to a sanctuary antenna occurs. The sanctuary antenna is used for a duration of at least one sounding reference signal (SRS) symbol.

  • Publication number: 20240205725
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to systems and methods for predicting high latency conditions for a data connection between an extended reality device and a wireless telecommunication system. A schedule associated with downlink and/or uplink grants at a base station is queried to determine if it comprises a sufficient number of grants in an upcoming time period to adequately serve the extended reality device. If it does not, the extended reality device can implement mitigating actions to reduce data consumption in the downlink or data transmission in the uplink to minimize undesirable effects to user experience and device performance.

  • Publication number: 20240147517
Abstract: Aspects provided herein to provide methods, systems, and a non-transitory computer storage media storing computer-useable instructions to differentiate extended reality (XR) devices in a wireless network. The method begins a base station receiving an uplink message containing an XR identifier from an XR device. The base station determines a priority for the XR device using the XR identifier. Based on the priority transmissions are scheduled to the XR device.

  • Publication number: 20240129950
Abstract: Methods, systems, and a non-transitory computer storage media storing computer-useable instructions are provided to ensure quality of experience (QoE) for extended reality (XR) devices over WiFi networks. A WiFi connectivity device receives a pairing request from an XR device. The pairing request contains an XR identifier that indicates one or more service needs of the XR device and identifies a priority of the XR device for data rate and bandwidth assignment. A negotiating agent, which can reside in the XR device or the WiFi connectivity device, negotiates a channel selection for the XR device. The channel selection negotiated is based on the XR identifier. After negotiation is complete, the XR device pairs with the WiFi connectivity device and receives scheduled transmissions on the negotiated channel.

  • Patent number: 10506614
Abstract: A conversation is handed over between an unlicensed data network and a cellular network. Voice conversations and/or video conversations may be seamlessly transitioned between cellular networks and unlicensed data networks (e.g., Wi-Fi), with a small transition time (e.g., less than a couple of seconds). The handover may occur from the unlicensed data network to the cellular network or from the cellular network to the unlicensed data network. During the transition between networks, cached registration data is accessed to speed up the authentication of the computing device switching networks. In some configurations, a user may specify preferences for switching between the unlicensed data and cellular networks. For instance, a user may specify a preference to use Wi-Fi networks before cellular networks or to use cellular networks before using Wi-Fi networks.
