  • Publication number: 20230174028
Abstract: A vacuum booster has a shiftable diaphragm within a fixed housing. The fixed housing has forward and rearward ends. A piston and a vacuum port extend through the forward end of the housing for air to flow to and from the fixed housing. A quantity of brake fluid is within a master cylinder. A sensor is adapted to send an electronic signal in response to identified potentially damaging movement. A motion imparter is adapted to be activated in response to the electronic signal. The motion imparter is adapted to shift the shiftable diaphragm forwardly from a retracted orientation to an advanced orientation to advance the piston and convey brake fluid to the brakes for stopping the vehicle independent of driver involvement.

  • Patent number: 9181708
Abstract: A module assembly includes a forward module, a rearward module, and a hinge coupling the forward module and the rearward module. A movement assembly includes two forward wheels and two rearward wheels. A blower assembly includes a forward auger within the forward module, a rearward auger within the rearward module, an opening in each of the modules with a suction fan rotatable within the opening, and an exhaust tube extending upwardly and outwardly from each of the modules. A drive assembly includes a motor for each of the augers, each of the suction fans, and each of the wheels, and includes a source of electrical potential to power each of the motors.

  • Patent number: 8851393
Abstract: A bureau is adapted to monitor and forecast weather conditions and to generate forecasting data. A thermostat operatively coupled to an air conditioner/heater initiates and terminates both heating and cooling. A communication network operatively couples the bureau and the thermostat. Operational components within the thermostat are a first screen to display the actual temperature, a second screen to display the desired temperature, a mode switch having a primary position for cooling and a secondary position for heating, and an electronic controller for receiving input from the bureau and for operating the mode switch and for generating signals for the operation of the air conditioner/heater, the interpreting being based upon the generated forecasting data.
