    Abstract: The diagnosis of schizophrenia through the detection of a phospholipase enzyme is disclosed. In this invention, a test sample from the patient can be combined with a test composition to measure phospholipase enzyme in the test sample. The sample can be read and the result compared with a scale of values found in nonschizophrenic controls.
