  • Patent number: 10007614
Abstract: System and method determining metric for selective caching, comprising determining a result of an access to a cache for at least one tracked attribute; determining a count value for the at least one tracked attribute in a translation look-aside buffer entry corresponding to the access to the cache in accordance with the determined result; comparing the count value for the at least one tracked attribute with a threshold associated with the at least one tracked attribute; assigning the metric of sticky property to a cache line corresponding to the translation look-aside buffer entry when the count value for at least one of the at least one tracked attribute exceeds the threshold. Selective caching then assigns different protection status to the cache lines with and without sticky property; and evicting a cache line in accordance with a cache eviction policy starting with the cache lines with the lowest protection status.

  • Publication number: 20060081333
Abstract: On demand apparatus for use in a printer, printer module, stand-alone media converter, or other media processor comprises a print device and a converting system. The print device receives a series of labels, tickets, tags, cards or other media samples and responds to a set of form and content print instructions which direct the print device regarding what and where to print on selected media samples. The converting system includes an applicator which receives the series of media samples from the print device and a series of value-adding elements. The applicator responds to a set of application instructions which direct the applicator to apply a value-adding element to selected media samples. A corresponding method is disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5661126
Abstract: This application concerns the treatment of certain tumors using an effective amount of the glycoprotein Mullerian Inhibiting Substance (MIS). This application further concerns the treatment of certain tumors using an effective amount of the C-terminal fragment of MIS. Also, this application concerns DNA sequences encoding the C-terminal fragment of MIS, vectors containing the DNA sequence and transformed host cells capable of producing the C-terminal fragment. This application further concerns treating certain tumors by transfecting tumor cells with a gene coding for MIS or the C-terminal fragment of MIS. Gene therapy treatments for inhibiting growth of certain tumors are also provided. Further, this application concerns a method for modulating class I histocompatibility antigens with MIS and EGF.
