Patent number: 9619562Abstract: Disclosed is a method and system for providing to a user rapid access to search resources while interacting with electronic documents by providing for recognition of user initiated search triggers that result in searches being performed with minimal user input or page navigation. The method and system includes generating, by a server computer, a web page, injecting code into the web page, and transmitting the web page to a client computer. The code, when executed on the client computer, detects a search interface trigger occurring during display of the web page, the search interface trigger not associated with an input focus of the web page or of a browser on the client computer, detects a search execution trigger after the detecting of the search interface trigger, and transmits, to a search entity, a request for search results related to content associated with the search interface trigger.Type: GrantFiled: June 30, 2010Date of Patent: April 11, 2017Assignee: EXCALIBUR IP, LLCInventor: Wai Hung Wong

Patent number: 9152712Abstract: Disclosed is a method and system for providing to a user rapid access to search resources while interacting with electronic documents by providing for recognition of user initiated search triggers that result in searches being performed with minimal user input or page navigation. A method and system for performing a web search includes detecting, by a client-side module, a user-initiated search interface trigger occurring during display of the web page, the search interface trigger not associated with an input focus of the web page or an input focus of a browser, detecting, by the client-side module, a user-initiated search execution trigger after the detecting of the search interface trigger, and transmitting, by the client-side module to a search entity, in response to the detecting of the search execution trigger, a request for search results related to content associated with the search interface trigger.Type: GrantFiled: June 30, 2010Date of Patent: October 6, 2015Assignee: YAHOO! INC.Inventors: Wai Hung Wong, John A. Geishecker

Patent number: 6402365Abstract: A blender for home food preparation is improved by the incorporation of electronic motor control circuitry responsive to a microcontroller. The microcontroller includes memory for storage of data and programmed instructions. The programmed instructions permit a user to select from a plurality of blending speeds and define a pre-determined end time. Use of a pre-determined end time produces a two-speed blending cycle. The programmed instructions determine the length and energy level associated with each portion of the two-speed blending cycle. A user can stop the blending cycle at any time, with or without a pre-determined end time. Safety features include a pre-determined maximum motor run time, top jar load detector and auto shut down after a period of inactivity. The pre-determined end time from a previous blending cycle is stored in memory, allowing the microcontroller to reproduce the duration of the previous blending cycle.Type: GrantFiled: August 17, 2001Date of Patent: June 11, 2002Assignee: Kayue Electric Company LimitedInventor: Wai Hung Wong
