  • Publication number: 20250149166
Abstract: The techniques described herein relate to systems and methods for diagnosing diseases in animal patients. In some cases, a method includes providing a set of global data to a global data center and processing the set of global data and categorizing it into data clusters, where each data cluster corresponds to a diagnostic indicator for assessment of a physiological or pathological condition. The method can further include measuring data of a local patient using measurement equipment of a local autonomous cell and communicating the local measurement data from the local autonomous cell to the global data center. The local measurement data can be processed, and the processed local measurement data can be compared with the data clusters to determine a local diagnostic indicator for the local patient. The local diagnostic indicator can then be communicated from the global data center to the local autonomous cell.

  • Publication number: 20250148029
Abstract: In some implementations, a computing system can deliver personalized content while preserving user privacy. For example, the computing system can include a content server that filters, deduplicates, and generates clusters of content items (e.g., articles, news stories, etc.) that are relevant to an investment identifier received in a request from a client device. The content server can send the clusters of content items to the requesting client. Upon receiving the clusters of content items, requesting client device can evaluate the content items based on user preferences stored on the user device and select a representative content item from one or more content item clusters. The selected content item can then be presented on a display of the user device. Thus, personalization of content item selection and presentation can be performed without distributing user preference data outside of the user device thereby preserving user privacy.

  • Publication number: 20250137071
Abstract: Cell-free DNA molecules in a mixture of a biological sample can be analyzed to detect viral DNA. Methylation of viral DNA molecules at one or more sites in the viral genome can be determined. Mixture methylation level(s) can be measured based on one or more amounts of the plurality of cell-free DNA molecules methylated at a set of site(s) of the particular viral genome. The mixture methylation level(s) can be determined in various ways, e.g., as a density of cell-free DNA molecules that are methylated at a site or across multiple sites or regions. The mixture methylation level(s) can be compared to reference methylation level(s), e.g., determined from at least two cohorts of other subjects. The cohorts can have different classifications (including the first condition) associated with the particular viral genome. A first classification of whether the subject has the first condition can be determined based on the comparing.

  • Publication number: 20250137996
Abstract: The present invention relates to a physiologically relevant, high-throughput in vitro human lung injury model used for studying therapeutic interventions against severe respiratory pathogens. In this model, human alveolar epithelial cells are infected with the highly pathogenic influenza A virus A/HK/483/97 (H5N1) and subsequently treated with extracellular vesicles (EVs) 24 hours post-infection. Influenza A(H5N1) infection significantly reduces alveolar fluid clearance (AFC) and increases alveolar permeability (APP) after 24 hours. The administration of therapeutic EVs restores both AFC and APP in vitro, reduces the expression of dysregulated proinflammatory cytokines, and enhances virus-suppressed alveolar sodium and chloride transporters in the infected epithelial cells.

  • Publication number: 20250138893
Abstract: This invention describes a novel blockchain network system and method tailored for managing the time and logic sensitive scheduling operations, specifically allowing the scheduling of executions in the future. The novel blockchain network system and scheduling method is a Layer-1 solution that preserves the open, distributed, decentralised, verifiable, robust, immutable and secure data archiving properties of blockchain network and is distinguished from other Layer-2 protocols built on top of Layer-1 blockchain networks. With schedule messages, self-invoking contracts can be realised to carry out recurring tasks, updates, or transactions without external activation or approval.

  • Publication number: 20250141248
Abstract: A visual indication device includes: device body provided with a concave portion with a surface opening; semi-transparent reflective mirror positioned to cover the surface opening of the concave portion; reflective mirror arranged on a bottom surface of the concave portion; light source located inside the device body and configured to generate light; light guide element arranged on one side of the concave portion to guide the light to refract towards the semi-transparent reflective mirror. There is a distance space between the semi-transparent mirror and the reflective mirror that can duplicate the light to be a 3D pattern from the light guide. The light effect is generated by a few light sources—LED, which can form many moving patterns by dimming and growing light. That can provide more indication messages and the look decoration to users.

  • Publication number: 20250141593
Abstract: A coding method for data communication is provided, and may be applied to a plurality of scenarios such as a metro network, a backbone network, and a data center interconnection. The method includes: forming a first codeword, where the first codeword includes n image bits and n to-be-transmitted bits, the n image bits are selected from to-be-transmitted bits in m source codewords, the source codeword is a codeword formed before the first codeword, both n and m are positive integers, and n>m; and sending the n to-be-transmitted bits in the first codeword. The bit in the first codeword is protected by a plurality of codewords generated at different moments, and a coding gain effect is better. In addition, the bit in the codeword is protected by different quantities of codewords.

  • Publication number: 20250136947
Abstract: The present invention provides a co-culture system of human alveolar epithelial and endothelial cells to study the interactions within the epithelial-endothelial barrier in the lungs. It demonstrates that infection with highly pathogenic influenza A virus A/HK/483/97 (H5N1) significantly decreases alveolar fluid clearance (AFC) and increases protein permeability (APP). The administration of therapeutic extracellular vesicles (EVs) after infection effectively restores AFC and APP, reduces viral replication, and enhances the expression of anti-viral genes. This invention highlights the therapeutic potential of EVs and offers a valuable tool for investigating acute lung injury and improving lung drug delivery techniques.

  • Publication number: 20250141391
Abstract: Techniques are described to continuously calculate an inverter DC power of a synchronous machine, e.g., motor or generator, based on the individual phase currents, DC link voltage, and gate signals, which can be compared against the commanded mechanical power based of the estimated rotor speed and commanded torque. A controller can determine whether to shut down the inverter, such as the pulse width modulation (PWM), if the DC power is greater than a threshold value. Such a threshold can be defined to allow an acceptable position and speed estimation error margin.
