  • Patent number: 9594784
Abstract: A method and apparatus for push-model based index deletion. In one embodiment of the method, a first transaction is generated for deleting a first data object from memory. A first message is generated in response to generating the first transaction, wherein the first message comprises information related to an identifier of the first data object, and wherein the first message comprises information that indicates that the first data object was or will be deleted. • Patent number: 9594794
Abstract: In one embodiment of the method, a first transaction is generated for deleting a record from a table of a database. In response the record is deleted from the table. Further in response to the generation of the first transaction, a copy of data of the record is stored in an entry of a transaction log before the record is deleted from the table. An instruction is then generated, and in response the record is restored to the table after the record is deleted, wherein the record is restored in the table using the copy of the data in the transaction log entry.

  • Patent number: 9418125
Abstract: A mechanism for dynamically configuring searchable fields of interest within an enterprise-wide search center is provided. Such functionality is provided through the creation and maintaining of an abstraction layer that represents the searchable fields of interest, which are gathered from the total available fields from enterprise-wide searchable objects. The abstraction layer is defined through the use of a field mappings file that relates searchable fields of interest in searchable objects with fields within a search index accessible to the search center. The field mappings file can provide the defined relationships between searchable object fields and search index fields at runtime of a user session, thus avoiding a rigid configuration at the time of search center initialization.

  • Publication number: 20140010445
Abstract: A method for compressing image data into a sequence of codes, the image data being represented by a plurality of input color vectors. The method includes a repetitive processing of one color vector at a time with the following steps: receiving one of the input color vectors; comparing the received input color vector with codebook words in a codebook, the codebook words being expressed as color vectors: compressing the received input color vector to generate a code based on the comparison; updating the codebook with a color vector, the color vector being generated by decoding the code; and outputting the code before receiving a next one of the input color vectors; wherein the updating may include rearranging the order of the codebook words based on the comparison.

  • Patent number: 8103120
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses of contrast enhancement on an image are disclosed. The method performs local shading of fine contrast variations in an image, with particular advantage in tone mapping applications. The amounts of shading are determined by the preferred degree of increased image contrast 810, including compensation for subsequent tone mapping, and the difference between a profile signal 803 and the image signal 801 conditional on the signal profile level being higher than the original image signal level, wherein avoiding boosting of brightness level to obtain contrast enhancement. The profile signal 803 is calculated by the weighted sum of the image signal and the absolute signal variation which is the absolute value of the variation between the brightness of two neighbor pixels. This amount of shading is reduced to zero when the profile signal 803 is lower than the original image signal 801 for avoiding the overshooting problem at sharp edges in an image.

  • Patent number: 8102360
Abstract: A method of adjusting image intensity to compensate backlight dimming in dynamic backlight control, the method including estimating distortion of an image that corresponds to different mapping index values 204 selected from the intensity levels 202 of an image. The estimated distortion of image represents factors including the quantity of pixels 205 that have intensity exceeding a mapping index value 204; and the amount 206 that the intensity of each pixel exceeds the corresponding mapping index value. The method further includes selecting from a plurality of schemes 301 for adjusting image intensity to minimize the estimated distortion obtained from the estimating.

  • Patent number: 8016232
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided controlling aircraft cabin pressure, and more specifically engine bleed air manifold pressure, during aircraft descent. An aircraft engine bleed air manifold control pressure setpoint is to either a descent pressure setpoint or a cruise pressure setpoint by determining a rotational speed of an aircraft engine component, determining a component speed setpoint value, and determining aircraft vertical speed. The engine bleed air manifold control pressure setpoint is set to the descent pressure setpoint if either the determined rotational speed of the aircraft engine component is below the component speed setpoint value or the aircraft vertical speed is less than a predetermined vertical speed value.
