    Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein provide systems and methods for performing video recorder failover. In a particular embodiment, a system for handing a failover of a first Network Video Recorder (NVR) is provided. The system includes a second NVR that receives a video stream and temporarily stores an amount of the video stream to the temporary storage, wherein the amount of the video stream stored in the temporary storage at any given time corresponds to a duration of time sufficient to accommodate a failover of the first NVR to the second NVR. In response to a detection of a failure of the first NVR, the second NVR records the video stream to the second long-term storage and transfers at least a portion of the video stream stored in the temporary storage to the second long-term storage.

    Abstract: A lightweight throttling mechanism allows for dynamic control of access to resources in a distributed environment. Each request received by a server of a server group is parsed to determine tokens in the request, which are compared with designated rules to determine whether to process or reject the request based on usage data associated with an aspect of the request, the token values, and the rule(s) specified for the request. The receiving of each request can be broadcast to throttling components for each server such that the global state of the system is known to each server. The system then can monitor usage and dynamically throttle requests based on real time data in a distributed environment.

The proxy network address is selected such that a same central processing unit core is assigned to process data packets from the server side session and the host side session. By assigning central processing unit cores in this manner, higher capable security gateways are provided.

The device may interleave high resolution, 4×3 frames and lower resolution 16×9 frames in the video sequence, and may capture the nearest higher resolution, 4×3 frame when the user indicates the capture of a still frame. Alternatively, the device may display 16×9 frames in the video sequence, and then expand to 4×3 frames when a shutter button is pressed. The device may capture the still frame and return to the 16×9 video frames responsive to a release of the shutter button.

    Abstract: UEs are adapted to facilitate reconstruction of a segment of corrupted bits. According to one example, a UE can receive a control channel transmission such as a HS-SCCH transmission. The control channel transmission may include a plurality of information bits and a plurality of cyclic redundancy check (CRC) bits. The UE may further determine that a contiguous segment of the received information bits is corrupt. The UE may accordingly utilize the uncorrupted information bits and CRC bits to reconstruct the corrupt information bits. In some instances, the UE may utilize the uncorrupted bits to reconstruct the corrupt information bits using a new generator polynomial. In other instances, the UE may utilize the uncorrupted bits to reconstruct the corrupt information bits using the original generator polynomial.

    Abstract: An artificial foot and ankle joint consists of a curved leaf spring foot member having a heel extremity and a toe extremity, and a flexible elastic ankle member that connects the foot member for rotation at the ankle joint. An actuator motor applies torque to the ankle joint to orient the foot when it is not in contact with the support surface and to store energy in a catapult spring that is released along with the energy stored in the leaf spring to propel the wearer forward. A ribbon clutch prevents the foot member from rotating in one direction beyond a predetermined limit position. A controllable damper is employed to lock the ankle joint or to absorb mechanical energy as needed. The controller and sensing mechanisms control both the actuator motor and the controllable damper at different times during the walking cycle for level walking, stair ascent, and stair descent.

The dummy vias may extend up to an etch stop layer formed over the CMOS layer or may be stopped at an intermediate etch stop layer formed within the device level.
