Patent number: 12164854Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method and an apparatus for arranging electrical components within a semiconductor device, and a non-transitory computer-readable medium. The method includes (a) placing a plurality of cells in a first layout; (b) generating a second layout by performing a first set of calculations on the first layout such that a total wire length of the second layout is less than that of the first layout; (c) generating a third layout by performing a second set of calculations on the second layout such that cell congestions in the second layout is eliminated from the third layout; (d) generating a fourth layout by performing a third set of calculations on the third layout such that the total wire length of the fourth layout is less than that of the third layout; and (e) iterating the operations (c) and (d) until a target layout conforms to a convergence criterion.Type: GrantFiled: January 28, 2022Date of Patent: December 10, 2024Assignee: TAIWAN SEMICONDUCTOR MANUFACTURING COMPANY LTD.Inventors: Ting-Chi Wang, Wai-Kei Mak, Kuan-Yu Chen, Hsiu-Chu Hsu, Hsuan-Han Liang, Sheng-Hsiung Chen

Patent number: 12148045Abstract: Methods and systems for maintaining a distributed ledger and/or blockchain of transactions and/or events pertaining to autonomous vehicles and/or smart contracts. An enforcement server may receive indications of transactions and/or events generated by one or more autonomous vehicles. The transactions and/or events may include information relating to a trigger condition and/or a decision condition associated with one or more smart contracts. The enforcement server may route the transaction to the appropriate smart contract to determine whether a trigger condition has been satisfied. When a trigger condition is satisfied, the enforcement server may automatically perform an action to enforce the smart contract and/or update the distributed ledger.Type: GrantFiled: October 11, 2023Date of Patent: November 19, 2024Assignee: STATE FARM MUTUAL AUTOMOBILE INSURANCE COMPANYInventors: Matthew L. Patent number: 12139750Abstract: Methods and systems described herein involve using long cell-free DNA fragments to analyze a biological sample from a pregnant subject. The status of methylated CpG sites and single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) is often used to analyze DNA fragments of a biological sample. A CpG site and a SNP are typically separated from the nearest CpG site or SNP by hundreds or thousands of base pairs. Finding two or more consecutive CpG sites or SNPs on most cell-free DNA fragments is improbable or impossible. Cell-free DNA fragments longer than 600 bp may include multiple CpG sites and/or SNPs. The presence of multiple CpG sites and/or SNPs on long cell-free DNA fragments may allow for analysis than with short cell-free DNA fragments alone. The long cell-free DNA fragments can be used to identify a tissue of origin and/or to provide information on a fetus in a pregnant female.Type: GrantFiled: February 5, 2021Date of Patent: November 12, 2024Assignee: The Chinese University of Hong KongInventors: Yuk-Ming Dennis Lo, Rossa Wai Kwun Chiu, Kwan Chee Chan, Peiyong Jiang, Suk Hang Cheng, Cheuk Yin Yu, Yee Ting Cheung, Wenlei Peng

Publication number: 20240331055Abstract: Methods and systems for maintaining a distributed ledger and/or blockchain of transactions and/or events pertaining to autonomous vehicles and/or smart contracts are provided. One or more processors may monitor one or more sensors associated with an autonomous vehicle. Based upon the outputs of the sensors, a change in condition of the autonomous vehicle may be detected. The condition may relate to operation, or an operational state of the vehicle and/or a condition associated with a smart contract. The processors may generate a transaction describing the detected change in the condition of the vehicle. The transaction may be transmitted to an enforcement server. As a result, an up-to-date ledger of autonomous vehicle and/or smart contract transactions and/or events may be maintained.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 14, 2024Publication date: October 3, 2024Inventors: Matthew L.
