Abstract: Selectively magnifying a set of characters on a touch screen of a computing device. Input is received from a user via the touch screen. A target character is identified, along with a plurality of other characters, based on the received input. In some embodiments, the plurality of other characters includes characters adjacent to the target character, or symbols appropriate for the target character. The target character and plurality of other characters are magnified either by touching the screen or by getting in close proximity from the screen to enable the user to accurately select one or more intended characters from the magnified characters.
