  • Patent number: 11352416
Abstract: The present invention describes compositions and methods for priming protective immunity in the presence of pre-existing maternal antibody. In some embodiments, the invention contemplates simultaneously masking vaccines to avoid antibody neutralization while targeting those vaccines to specific cell types in order to elicit an enhanced immune response. In other embodiments, vectors that recruit and activate specific antigen-presenting cells may further enhance the efficacy of those immune responses.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 17, 2020
Date of Patent: June 7, 2022
Assignee: The TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY SYSTEM

  • Publication number: 20220031831
Abstract: The present disclosure provides immunogenic compositions or vaccines against African Swine Fever Virus (ASFV), methods of making and using such immunogenic compositions or vaccines, and methods of administering such immunogenic compositions or vaccines. In some forms, a plurality of ASFV antigens are combined together into a live-vectored multivalent immunogenic composition. In some forms, the live-vectored multivalent immunogenic composition is a multicistronic expression cassette.

  • Publication number: 20190307879
Abstract: The invention pertains to a vaccine comprising an immunologically effective amount of a novel live-vectored multivalent vaccine formulation that affords immunization to multiple antigens of a pathogen that is relatively impervious to vaccine development by providing multiple virus-expressed antigens and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier and/or an adjuvant. Further, a method of immunizing a subject against an exposure to a pathogen that is relatively impervious to vaccine development is provided, wherein the method comprising the steps of administering the vaccine to a subject to induce an immune response against antigenic proteins or fragments thereof.
