Abstract: A multistory building including a ground level shopping center and at least one upper story consisting of a plurality of apartment units constructed in side-by-side relation in laterally spaced rows, with an enclosed corridor extending completely around and separating the rows of apartment units. Front and rear doors lead from the individual apartment units to the adjacent corridor. Each apartment includes a patio between its rear door and the adjacent walkway area or corridor.
