  • Patent number: 11684057
Abstract: An insect light trap generally including a housing, a lamp for attracting insects mounted in the housing, a first space for receiving a first insect trap, and a second space contained in the housing. The second space has received therein a module including a second insect trap. The second insect trap includes an advanceable adhesive surface for trapping the insects and a motor to advance the adhesive surface.

  • Patent number: 11582964
Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide an insect trap for trapping insects, the insect trap comprising one or more serviceable parts, the insect trap being movable between a first configuration for trapping insects, and a second configuration for servicing of the one or more serviceable parts. The insect trap is arranged so that the position of the one or more serviceable parts in the first configuration differs from the position of the one or more serviceable parts in the second configuration.

  • Patent number: 11295778
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for resource allocation for multi-actuator systems. In some examples, a data storage device can include two or more independently moveable voice coil motor (VCM) actuators where the resources of the system to operate the VCM actuators are divided. The disclosure here describes methods to allocate or re-allocate the divided resources, such as unused resources, to a VCM actuator that has a need for more resources. The methods and systems herein can also be applied to other actuator systems.

  • Patent number: 9740888
Abstract: Systems or methods can be used to detect evidence of tampering. The tampering can be physical tampering, such as the turning of a screw, or removal or modification of an electronic component. In some examples, a tamper detection value can be determined from a tamper detection device and compared to a predetermined tamper detection value to determine if tampering is indicated. The system can, upon detection of the tampering, halt an operation, disable device or circuit functionality, disable future operations, physically disable a device, or any combination thereof.

  • Publication number: 20160161111
Abstract: In a premix supply, for supplying a fuel and oxidizer gas into a combustion chamber for burning, the premix supply having a smaller diameter flow than the combustion chamber, the premix supply comprising at least one dielectric barrier discharge device (DBD) comprising two electrodes separated by a dielectric, improved flame stability limits may be provided for the adjacent combustor by the actuation of the DBD to induce ionic wind. Both electrodes may be provided in a single wall of the premix supply. The two electrodes may be arranged substantially upstream and downstream of each other. The electrodes may be arranged to generate an ionic wind preferentially directed in a direction of flow through the premix supply.
