    Abstract: In one embodiment, a magnetic resonance diagnosis apparatus includes an application region calculation unit and a data generation unit. The application region calculation unit automatically calculates an application region of a prepulse based on “image data including a region of interest of an object generated by magnetic resonance imaging before application of a prepulse”. The data generation unit applies the prepulse according to the application region automatically calculated by the application region calculation unit, then receives a magnetic resonance signal from a data acquisition region including the region of interest, and generates magnetic resonance spectrum data indicative of concentration distribution per metabolic substance in the region of interest based on the magnetic resonance signal.
