Abstract: A sealing device to seal an annular space formed by a fixed side member and a rotation side member, including a first seal member and a second seal member, and being provided between the two members in a state in which the first and the second seal members are combined. The sealing device includes a coating layer having an easily scraped property and being provided at least at one place in a gap between facing regions in which the first and the second seal members are provided so as to face each other in an initial state in which the first and the second seal members are combined. The coating layer slidably contacts a region to which the coating layer faces in a state in which the first and the second seal members rotate relative to each other from the initial state.
