  • Publication number: 20260061957
Abstract: Bumper arrangement for a motor vehicle, including a cross member and a respective crash box arranged in the region of the ends of the cross member for coupling the bumper arrangement to a longitudinal member of the motor vehicle. The crash box has a profile extruded in the motor vehicle vertical direction. The crash box has a first coupling channel running in the motor vehicle vertical direction. A coupling means engages at least in sections in the first coupling channel and connects the crash box to the cross member. The crash box has, at its end facing away from the cross member, a second coupling channel running in the motor vehicle vertical direction for connecting the crash box to the longitudinal member.

  • Publication number: 20150352753
Abstract: The invention relates to a motor vehicle component and a method for producing a motor vehicle component having a metallic basic element and at least one reinforcing element made of a fiber composite material. An endless fiber strand of dry fibers is deposited here on a former, in a meandering manner around the extensions such that the two-dimensional fiber semi-finished product is formed. The fiber semi-finished product is trimmed and is brought into contact with the metallic basic element, wherein the fiber semi-finished product which is saturated with resin is cured by subjection to pressure and heat and thus the at least one reinforcing element is produced and is connected nonreleasably to the basic element.

  • Publication number: 20120309247
Abstract: In a method of making a hybrid part, a reinforcement element of fiber composite is placed upon a base member in a press tool. A strip-shaped cover having a resin absorbing absorbent layer is withdrawn from a supply unit and placed in the press tool between the reinforcement element and the press tool. As the base member and the reinforcement element are compressed with one another and joined any resin issuing out from the reinforcement element is absorbed by the absorbent layer of the cover and kept away from soiling the press tool or the base member. After the compression process, the cover is removed.
