  • Patent number: 11267926
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of preparing a polyurethane elastomer, said method comprising the step of reacting at least one isocyanate composition (ZI) and one polyol composition (ZP) comprising a poly-?-caprolactone polyol and an ?-hydro-?-hydroxy-poly(oxytetramethylene) polyol to obtain an isocyanate-functional prepolymer and the step of reacting the prepolymer obtained as per step (i) with at least one chain extender (KV). The present invention further relates to a polyurethane elastomer obtained or obtainable according to a method of the invention and also to the method of using a polyurethane elastomer according to the invention or a polyurethane elastomer obtained or obtainable according to a method of the invention in the manufacture of a shaped article, especially a damping element, a shock absorber or a stop buffer or part of a shoe or of a shoe sole, for example part of an insert sole or of a midsole.

  • Publication number: 20200086707
Abstract: The invention relates to a spring support (1, 1?, 1?) configured to receive a coil spring (50) of a motor-vehicle spring system (100), where the coil spring (50) has a length in the direction of a longitudinal axis (L) that is variable between a state of minimal compression and a state of maximal compression, and said coil spring comprises a terminal coil section (51) that rests on an annular surface of the spring support (1, 1?). An elastically deformable projecting element (18) is arranged between the annular surface of the spring support and the coil spring, and is configured to maintain contact with the terminal coil section (51) of the coil spring (50) during both maximal and minimal compression of the coil spring (50).

  • Publication number: 20190270841
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of preparing a polyurethane elastomer. The method includes a step of reacting at least one isocyanate composition and one polyol composition containing a poly-?-caprolactone polyol obtained by reacting ? caprolactone and a diol having a number average molecular weight of from 80 to 1500 g/mol to obtain an isocyanate-functional prepolymer; and a step of reacting the prepolymer with at least one chain extender. The polyol composition contains ?-hydro-?-hydroxypoly(oxytetramethylene) polyols in an amount ranging from 0 to 1 wt % based on the entire polyol composition. The present invention further relates to a polyurethane elastomer prepared by such a method and also to the use of the polyurethane elastomer in the manufacture of a shaped article, especially a damping element, a shock absorber, a stop buffer, or a part of a shoe, such as a shoe sole, in particular, an insert sole or a midsole.

  • Publication number: 20180272821
Abstract: The invention relates to a spring support for a coil spring (15), comprising an annular receiving element (5) having a top side and a bottom side, wherein the top side is provided to receive one end of the coil spring (15), and comprising an annular damping element (3), which is in contact with the bottom side of the receiving element (5), wherein the damping element (3) furthermore has on its inside a collar which extends from the bottom side of the receiving element (5) in the direction of the coil spring (15), and wherein the collar is formed by bending from a disk-shaped basic form of the damping element (3).

  • Patent number: 5219622
Abstract: A method of forming a sheet of material with indicia thereon comprises applying indicia to the sheet by an electrostatic copying process in which a toner powder is deposited on the sheet and is heated to cause it to fuse. The sheet of material comprises a flexible support layer that is provided with a porous coating of a latent curable material, preferably in particulate and/or filamentary form and especially one based on an epoxy material. It has been found that the indicia are more indelible than those formed on other surfaces by the same process even though the fused toner is not absorbed by the curable material.
