  • Patent number: 4743933
Abstract: A camera, such as a single lens reflex camera, having a focal plane shutter and an interchangeable lens incorporating a diaphragm system, and provided with a control system for taking photographs using an electronic flash, in which the diaphragm system may be operated as an opening and closing shutter system as well as for providing the working aperture upon moving the focal plane shutter to fully open position to expose the film window, such that when the focal plane shutter release button is actuated, the focal plane shutter is moved to fully open position, and under the influence of the control system, the opening and closing system opens the aperture to a preselected width for a brief interval, e.g. 1/125 sec.

  • Patent number: 4277155
Abstract: A control device independent of and designed for use with professional cameras for operating an electromagnetically drivable shutter or magnetic shutter and for determining and setting exposure values, wherein the device includes a power source and means for determining and setting exposure values, both of which are exchangeably or detachably connectable operatively via the control device to the magnetic shutter and to a light measuring or metering probe, the means for determining and setting the exposure values being adjustable to operate in a plurality of selective functional modes.

  • Patent number: 4227792
Abstract: A device for setting or controlling shutter exposure time and diaphragm working aperture size on cameras having a lens shutter assembly with a reciprocating shutter sector system for opening and closing the lens passage and a diaphragm segment system which is also suitable for closing the shutter opening of the lens passage, the sector system and the segment system both preferably being independently driven by corresponding electrodynamic drive units selectively controlled by an electronic control circuit incorporating a microcompouter, such that first the diaphragm segments are driven at comparatively low driving energy or speed to define a manually or automatically predetermined size working aperture, then the shutter sectors are moved to open the lens passage for exposing the film, and thereafter the diaphragm segments are again driven but at comparatively high energy or speed, commencing at a selectively timed interval after the movement of the shutter sectors to open position, whereby to close the lens p

  • Patent number: 4051495
Abstract: A photographic camera of the single lens reflex type, having provision for interchangeable lenses. Whenever a lens is not fully and properly engaged with and seated on the camera, the image on the focusing screen is blurred or altered from the normal image in a way to attract the attention of the photographer, so that he can make immediate correction before losing the opportunity to take the picture he wants.
