  • Patent number: 12179434
Abstract: There is disclosed an improved additive manufacturing method and system for the production of components and structures, which integrates real-time monitoring and integrity diagnosis systems directly into the manufacturing process. The method introduces smart slicing technique by which smart sensor network layers (SNL) are embedded into sliced layers of a 3-D model at critical points during component design. The critical points are identified by structural analyses of the component using Finite Element Analysis (FEA). A Smart Extrusion and Mixing Module (SEMM) produces both primary printing material and conductive material for SNL layers. The SEMM operates in a direct extrusion mode for primary material and in a mixing and extrusion mode for conductive material. An Artificial Intelligence Single Board Computer (AISBC) manages the printing process and communication with SNL layers. Defect detection occurs in real-time during manufacturing, aided by a scanning module powered by an AI algorithm.

  • Publication number: 20240419679
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for processing requests to perform a stored procedure. A document chart is created having a unique identifier that corresponds to the stored procedure name. The document chart, being specific to the stored procedure, is populated with records that are associated with potential calls of the stored procedure. Each record comprises a key parameter and an output value, wherein the key parameter corresponds to a key that is generated based on the input parameters associated with the stored procedure call. The output value is communicated to the requesting client device without having to call the stored procedure on the targeted server.

  • Patent number: 12168615
Abstract: There is disclosed a method and system for utilizing carbon fibres for purification of rejected brine solution comprising thermally recycling carbon fibres and mechanically reducing the recycled carbon fibres, employing a chemical surface activation process for the reduced carbon fibres, resulting in chemically activated recycled carbon fibres; and exposing the activated recycled carbon fibres along with the brine solution to CO2 gas, resulting in the activated recycled carbon fibres selectively recovering contaminants from the brine solution, wherein adsorption of CO2 molecules is also performed by the activated recycled carbon fibres during the recovery. The thermal recycling of carbon fibres is done via pyrolysis and a G-S-L contact system assists in exposing the activated carbon fibres along with the brine solution to CO2 gas at varying flow rates and contact times for recovering contaminants from the brine solution.

  • Patent number: 12124429
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to specific, networked, and technological processes and operations. For example, various embodiments are directed to a distributed and collaborative planning tool that allows users to create events based on a presently-approved production plan, enable/disable events submitted by other users, submit proposals, approve proposals, and integrate proposals to update the presently-approved production plan. An event published by a first user is communicated to other users using a single, universal framework that tracks and communicates proposed changes between remote users and their associated client devices during the planning cycle without the need to store multiple iterations of full-size production plans.

  • Patent number: 12043725
Abstract: The disclosure of the present patent application relates generally to a process to recycle both polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and carbon fiber reinforced composite (CFRP) prepreg (fibers pre-impregnated with typically thermoset resin) and/or CFRP materials to produce a PET/Carbon Fiber Composite where the optimum amount of carbon fibers positively affects the mechanical and physical properties, and such properties were improved over pure recycled PET. The process of breaking down both the PET and CFRP product(s) into pieces for recycling is mechanical-only, and the broken-down pieces are combined in a single screw extruder with varying percentages of recycled CFRP pieces to determine the amount of CFRP pieces that produces the optimum mechanical and physical properties that are particularly improved over pure recycled PET.

  • Publication number: 20230325372
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for creating and utilizing an improved data structure. A hierarchical or nested data structure having a recursive first set of attribute-values may be converted into a matrix data structure having a second set of non-recursive attribute-values. Utilizing the static nature of a nested data structure, values may be extracted from the first set of attribute-values and translated or converted into row values of a matrix. A plurality of binary values associated with a common set of attributes can be concatenated into a binary sequence and converted to a single decimal number with a corresponding column value representing the set of attributes. Consolidating binary attribute-values and eliminating recursive attribute information creates significantly smaller file sizes, reducing the burden on network communication links and computer storage.

  • Publication number: 20220327182
Abstract: A method implements an unsupervised and nonparametric approach for visualizing outliers by invariant detection scoring. The method includes receiving a selection of input data comprising a plurality of input values. The method further includes processing the input data to generate a distance matrix. The method further includes processing the distance matrix to generate neighborhood cumulative distribution function (NCDF) curves. The method further includes processing the NCDF curves to generate scores. The method further includes processing the scores to identify an anomalous value, in the input data, that corresponds to a score, of the scores, meeting a criterion.

  • Patent number: 10789712
Abstract: Detecting breast abnormalities includes receiving a first mammographic image having original pixels. A second mammographic image is generated by enhancing the first mammographic image. Enhancing the first mammographic image includes performing the following for each original pixel in at least a subset of the original pixels. A histogram is generated for a region surrounding the original pixel, the region defined by an enhancement sliding window. Using the histogram, a value of the original pixel is revised to obtain a revised value, and the revised value is stored in the second mammographic image. A breast abnormality location is detected based on the second mammographic image.

  • Patent number: 9734200
Abstract: High-risk database statements are identified. A DBMS performs a series of experiments by generating sets of statistics describing data over which particular database statements run. The DBMS submits each of these sets of statistics to a query optimizer, which returns information for an execution plan that the optimizer would use to implement the statements given the submitted set of data statistics. If the DBMS determines that the optimizer changes the established execution plan for the database statements for any of the submitted sets of statistics, the DBMS performs one or more actions to mitigate the risk of changing execution plans, such as automatically tuning the database statements or the entire workload, and/or sending information about the database statements to a database administrator. Techniques are also described for calculating diagnostic values based on the results of such experiments, which quantify the sensitivity of the execution plans to changes in data statistics.

  • Patent number: 9261496
Abstract: Provided herein are microfluidic devices that can be used as a 3D bioassay, e.g., for drug screening, personalized medicine, tissue engineering, wound healing, and other applications. The device has a series of channels {e.g., small fluid channels) in a small polymer block wherein one or more of the channels can be filled with a biologically relevant gel, such as collagen, which is held in place by posts. As shown herein, when the device is plated with cells such as endothelial cells, new blood vessels grow in the gel, which is thick enough for the cells to grow in three dimensions. Other channels, e.g., fluid channels, allow drugs or biological material to be exposed to the 3D cell growth. Cells, such as endothelial cells, can be cultured and observed as they grow on the surface of a 3D gel scaffold, where e.g., rates of angiogenesis can be measured, as well as intervascularization and extravascularization of cancerous cells.
