Abstract: A socket insert includes a lower housing section, which incorporates a current infeed terminal, and an upper housing section, which is connected to the lower housing section, upon one of the sidewalls of which a snap-fit connecting part is arranged. The socket insert further comprises a cover plate, which is integrally connected to the upper housing section, closes the upper housing section to the exterior, and incorporates at least one device terminal which is electrically connected to the current infeed terminal. The cover plate incorporates a peripheral cover plate overhang which projects beyond the side walls of the upper housing section.
