Abstract: Disclosed is a method and apparatus for use with an RLC resonance circuit for inductive heating of a susceptor of an aerosol generating device. The apparatus is arranged to determine a resonant frequency of the RLC resonance circuit; and determine, based on the determined resonant frequency, a first frequency for the RLC resonance circuit for causing the susceptor to be inductively heated, the first frequency being above or below the determined resonant frequency. The apparatus may be arranged to control a drive frequency of the RLC resonance circuit to be at the determined first frequency in order to heat the susceptor. Also disclosed is an aerosol generating device including the apparatus.

The heating arrangement is arranged to heat the material contained in the second container to a temperature that prevents or reduces condensation from the flow of aerosol forming on the material and is below a temperature required to cause substantial aerosol formation from the material. Abstract: An aerosol provision system for generating aerosol from an aerosol generating material. The system comprises one or more portions of solid aerosol generating material having a mass no greater than 20 mg, and 5 wt % to 80 wt % aerosol generating agent, 1 wt % to 60 wt % gelling agent, and less than 15 mg water; one or more aerosol generating components; and control circuitry configured to supply power to the one or more aerosol generating components. The control circuitry is configured to cause heating of at least one of the one or more portions of aerosol generating material using the one or more aerosol generating components at an operational temperature at which aerosol is generated from the at least one of the one or more portions of aerosol generating material of no greater than 350° C. for a continuous duration of no greater than 10 seconds.

Abstract: A method of generating aerosol from aerosol generating material using an aerosol provision device is disclosed. The method comprises supplying power to a heating element to begin heating the aerosol generating material to an operational temperature (e.g. a temperature at which aerosol is generated). After a first predetermined time period, the method provides a signal to a user to signify that the user may begin inhaling on the device. After a second predetermined time period or after a user has stopped inhaling, the method reduces the supply of power to the heating element. In this way a user can be guided as to when to inhale on a device. The timing may be adjusted to suit a particular delivery and/or device. Also described are aerosol provision devices and systems.
