  • Publication number: 20250236046
Abstract: The compact log splitter comprises a main body, a tool coupling member carried by the main body, for operative coupling to a tool handling device, and first and second jaws carried by the main body, the jaws each being movable relative to the main body along a jaw movement direction, the jaws further being movable towards and away from each other between a closed position in which they are near or adjacent to each other and an opened position in which they are spaced-apart compared to the closed position, at least one of the jaws comprising a cutting tool for splitting logs that is in facing register with the other one of the jaws. A jaw actuation mechanism is carried by the main body and operatively connected to the first and second jaws, allowing the jaws to be moved between the opened and closed positions. The compact log splitter has substantially the same width when the jaws are in the opened position and in the closed position.

  • Publication number: 20080141995
Abstract: An apparatus and method for roughing the surface and edges of concrete casted blocks, such as concrete pavers is described herein. The apparatus comprises an elongated block-receiving surface having first and second longitudinal end portions and provided with block-tilting elements for sequentially tilting up at least two upper edges of a block moving on the surface from a first end portion to a second end portion; means for moving blocks on the block-receiving surface from the first to second end portions; and a plurality of impacting elements located above the block-receiving surface for reciprocating movement towards and away the block-receiving surface for impacting blocks on the block-receiving surface. The tilting elements may be in the form of wheels rotatably mounted to the block-receiving surface and positioned for sequentially tilting up each of the four upper edges of the block moving on the surface.

  • Publication number: 20070077808
Abstract: A feeder to supply blocks to a tumbler having a block inlet from a generally horizontal platform, the feeder comprising a frame and a shelf assembly so mounted to the frame as to reciprocate between a block receiving position and a block dumping position; the shelf assembly generally aligned with the platform when the shelf assembly is in the block receiving position to receive at least one block thereupon from the platform; the shelf assembly being so movable as to be angled into a block dumping position to cause the blocks to slide from the shelf assembly to the inlet of the tumbler.

  • Publication number: 20040150131
Abstract: The concrete block surface treatment machine is used for treating selected exposed surfaces of a concrete block. The machine comprises a frame and an elongated hammer member defining opposite first and second extremities spacedly carried by the frame, and an intermediate portion located between the first and second extremities. The machine also includes a mounting device mounting the hammer member first and second extremities to the frame to allow movement of the hammer member intermediate portion between a first position in which the hammer member intermediate portion clears the concrete block, and a second position in which the hammer member intermediate portion impacts the concrete block. The machine further includes a selectively powered hammer actuator carried by the frame and capable of selectively moving the hammer member intermediate portion between the first and second positions.
