  • Patent number: 10897585
Abstract: A hyperspectral imaging system and method are described herein for providing a hyperspectral image of an area of a remote object. In one embodiment, the hyperspectral imaging system includes an optic, a stack of waveguide plates, a spectral filter array, a detector array, and a controller.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 7, 2018
Date of Patent: January 19, 2021
    Assignee: Corning Incorporated
Inventors: Mohammad A. Saleh, Patrick Wallace Woodman
  • Publication number: 20190346307
Abstract: A spectral imaging system includes a a focal plane array (122). The focal plane array includes a plurality of imaging pixel rows (124), each imaging pixel row of the plurality of imaging pixel rows includes two or more individual imaging pixels, and the plurality of imaging pixel rows include a first imaging pixel row (124a) and a second imaging pixel row (124b). The spectral imager also includes a reference filter (142) optically coupled to the first imaging pixel row of the focal plane array and a multivariate optical element (140) optically coupled to the second imaging pixel row of the focal plane array.

  • Publication number: 20080040965
Abstract: A plurality of actuators allow a gun operator to control the on/off status of an illuminator attached to a weapon in the area forward of the trigger guard. The actuators are spaced to allow them to extend rearwardly on opposite sides of the trigger guard. “Up” turns the light emitter on and keeps it on or allows it to turn on as long as the actuator is actuated, regardless of which side of the trigger guard the actuator is actuated.

  • Publication number: 20050257415
Abstract: An attachment system is provided for attaching an auxiliary device to a weapon having a frame, and in particular to a weapon frame in the area forward of the trigger guard. An attachment mechanism on the auxiliary apparatus is adapted to be engageable with a rail on the weapon to selectively attach the auxiliary apparatus. The weapon may include a transverse slot which can be engaged by a portion of the auxiliary device to prevent the auxiliary apparatus from sliding relative to the weapon due to recoil forces associated with firing the weapon.
