    Abstract: A composition of matter and method useful in treating certain disease conditions by virtue of a protein mixture having a variety of disparate properties, such as facilitating wound healing and influencing glucose metabolism. It also exhibits pronounced superoxide dismutase activity. The composition may supplant or be combined with cortico-steroids to provide anti-inflammatory response while facilitating wound healing. It increases the rate of urea nitrogen synthesis, reduces peripheral blood ammonia, simultaneously facilitates glucose uptake and glycogen deposition. It is useful for treating hepatitis, arthritis, and scar tissue.
