  • Patent number: 5027261
Abstract: This invention relates to a reading aid having substantially non-glare, with controlled directional light for restrictive light reading. The present non-glare night reader includes a plurality of lights disposed within the body of the reader, and about the peripheral edges thereof. In a preferred embodiment, the present non-glare reader includes a unitary frame and handle, the frame having either four or five sides each of which defines a perimeter of the night reader. In the five-sided embodiment, the reader has two perimeter edges disposed angularly such that when in combination with a receptive stand, the combination provides a convenient storage facility for the night reader. In both the four and five sided embodiments, there is disposed within the inner edge of the frame, a plurality of miniature light bulbs which are connected to a suitable source of electricity.

  • Patent number: 4300832
Abstract: A photocopy machine is provided comprising an exposure roller for exposing a sensitized copy sheet to an original document to be copied and an applicator roller for applying a developer to the exposed copy sheet to produce a visible image. A drive means is provided for selectively operating the rollers in a first or a second mode of operation. In the first mode of operation, the rollers are positively driven in one direction for making copies and in the second mode of operation the rollers are free wheeling in either direction to facilitate removal of a sheet jam and servicing of the machine.

  • Patent number: 4299472
Abstract: In a developing apparatus for developing exposed copy sheets with liquid developer, which apparatus employs an applicator roll for the developer liquid and metering and pressure blades in contact with the applicator roll for controlling the development process, there is provided a wick for applying the developer liquid to the roll. Means is provided for moving the wick into and out of contact with the surface of the applicator roll so that the wick may be withdrawn whenever the apparatus is stopped in order to allow uniform drying of the roll surface to forestall the possibility of non uniform development treatment which otherwise might occur when the apparatus is next used.

  • Patent number: 4158495
Abstract: A developer apparatus is provided for developing exposed diazotype copy sheets comprising an applicator roller, means for supplying liquid developer to the applicator roller, a metering blade for wiping excessive liquid from the applicator roller and a pressure blade for pressing a copy sheet against the surface of the applicator roller to transfer liquid from the applicator roller to the copy sheet to develop an image thereon. The metering and pressure blades are arranged for sliding movement between an inoperative position ineffective to develop the copy sheet and an operative position in pressure engagement with the applicator roller for developing the copy sheet. Cam and linkage control means is provided for sequentially moving the blades between the inoperative and operative positions under control of a manually operable actuating means.
