  • Publication number: 20240091843
Abstract: A manipulator for components, in particular sheet metal parts, includes a base body mountable stationarily or movable along a guide arrangement, a first pivot arm pivotally coupled to the base body via a horizontal first pivot axis, a second pivot arm pivotally coupled to the first pivot arm via a horizontal second pivot axis and a third pivot arm pivotally coupled to the second pivot arm via a horizontal third pivot axis. A first axis of rotation extending radially to the third pivot axis is formed on the third pivot arm. A gripper support arm is rotatably coupled to the third pivot arm via the first axis of rotation and extends radially to the first axis of rotation. A gripping arrangement is rotatably coupled to the gripper support arm via a second axis of rotation spaced from the first axis of rotation. A bending installation includes the manipulator.

  • Publication number: 20010056143
Abstract: In a process for the temporary protection of plastic articles, particularly plastic mouldings, against electrostatic charging and a contamination or dirtying associated therewith, the plastic article is at least partly provided with a coating, which contains an antistatic and which can be washed off with water and/or at least one organic solvent. The antistatic is in particular an electrically conductive, organic polymer. The coating is in particular applied to the plastic article in the form of a solution. The invention also covers a composition, particularly a solution, which contains at least one antistatic and at least one solvent. The antistatic is in particular an electrically conductive, organic polymer, whilst the solvent is in particular a mixture of water and organic solvents.

  • Patent number: 6329660
Abstract: To derive sunlight induced fluorescence from radiance measurements, a first radiance measurement is taken inside an atmospheric absorption band, and an additional radiance measurement is taken outside of the atmospheric absorption band. Images of sunlight-induced fluorescence are obtained with the aid of a camera. Air- or spaceborne spectrometers and image points on non-fluorescent objects are used to determine the radiance conditions on the ground and the influence of the atmosphere.

  • Patent number: 6042724
Abstract: In a water treating apparatus the water is passed over a plurality of stages to a lower plane, each stage having a water trough, a section for the free fall of the water, and a catch. This makes possible the intensive mixing of the water with components of the air, especially oxygen and amino acids, as well as the action of natural light radiation onto the water.

  • Patent number: 4770439
Abstract: An impact protection system for an occupant of a motor vehicle with a prefabricated constructional unit that is fastened at parts of the vehicle body and which includes a generator housing, a base plate, a gas cushion, a generator and a cover provided with a tearing seam, is provided with a receiving frame that is adjustably connected with a support part of a dashboard. The prefabricated constructional unit is fastened at the receiving frame. The support partg delimits a recess of the dashboard that is closed off by a recess cover. The cover, via a releasable snap-in connection and an additional fastening, interacts with the receiving frame such that when the gas cushion unfolds, the snap-in connection opens up and the cover, via a desired bending point formed by the receiving frame, is swivelled preferably upward in the direction of a windshield.

  • Patent number: 4663210
Abstract: A paneling member for the interior of automotive vehicles, especially a dashboard, is constructed of at least two covered polyurethane foam portions which are provided with a stiffening support element embedded in the foam. The foam body portions have different weights per unit volume and compressive strengths and, accordingly, different degrees of hardness. A relatively firm foam body with an ABS or PVC sheet covering is used for the upper portion of the paneling member. A softer foam body with a covering selected from one of a variety of materials is used to form the lower portion of the paneling member.

  • Patent number: 4215613
Abstract: A kerfless slitter, capable of cutting various materials without generating chips or sawdust. The slitter includes a circular blade having a plurality of teeth spaced about its outer periphery and which contains a knife-edge centered along the mid plane of the blade in regard to its thickness. In practice, the blade is rotated at a peripheral speed that is equal to the linear speed of the work acted upon whereby each tooth is advanced along a cycloidal path of travel in reference to the work. Each tooth is arranged to enter the work ahead of the cutting line established by the teeth that have previously penetrated the work so that the cut is increased in length and in depth by means of a series of short slits.
