  • Patent number: 5426151
Abstract: A polymeric coating agent which comprises a polymer of from 60 to 97 wt. % of one or more (meth)acrylic monomers the polymerization of which can be initiated by free radicals, from 3 to 40 wt. % of at least one .alpha., .omega.-hydroxy-, carboxy-, and/or epoxy-functional polysiloxanes of the formula (I) ##STR1## wherein R' can be the same or different and is C.sub.1-6 alkyl, and R can be the same or different and is ##STR2## wherein Alk and Alk' are C.sub.1-6 alkylene and the alkylene groups in a molecule can be the same or different, n is a cardinal number from 8 to 40, m is a cardinal number from 2 to 30, and p is a cardinal number from 1 to 20 of solids in the monomers.

  • Patent number: 5426138
Abstract: A binding-agent composition for solvent-based or aqueous coating agents can be cured at low temperature to produce coatings which are non-yellowing and resistant to solvents. The binding-agent composition contains binding-agent components based on polyethers, polyesters, polyether polyesters and/or (meth)acrylic copolymers with, in each case, at least one acryloyl group and at least one epoxide group in the molecule, whereby the acryloyl groups and epoxide groups are present in the ratio 2:8 to 8:2. Also included are several polyamines as curing agents in a proportion of equivalent weights ranging from 2:0.5 to 1:1.5. The binding agents are used in pigmented and pigment-free lacquers, for use particularly in multi-layer lacquering.

  • Patent number: 5426156
Abstract: Previous two-component coatings with enamine components cured very slowly at low temperatures and led to yellowed products. A binder composition is prepared which cures rapidly at low temperatures and leads to non-yellowing products. It contains as CH-acid component a polymer with at least two enamine functions in the molecule, obtained byA) transesterification of a .beta.-keto-ester with hydroxyl-group-containing compounds or polymers which contain at least two hydroxyl groups in the molecule, with an OH value of at least 50 and a number-average molecular weight of 500 to 10,000, followed by reaction with ammonia or primary and/or secondary amines, andB) as .alpha.,.beta.-unsaturated component a compound with at least two groups of the general formula R.sub.1 R.sub.2 C.dbd.CR.sub.3 --X; in which X signifies --CO-- which is bonded via the residue of a di- or polyhydric alcohol, a di- or polyamine or an aminoalcohol to a further R.sub.1 R.sub.2 C.dbd.CR.sub.3 --X group, where R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.

  • Patent number: 5391620
Abstract: A rheology-influencing agent for coating media, containing a mixture of a (meth)acrylic copolymer containing hydroxyl groups and/or one or more polyesters containing hydroxyl groups, a hydroxy functional microdispersion obtainable by preparing a solution of one or more film-forming polyesters containing hydroxyl and/or carboxyl groups and/or (meth)acrylic copolymers containing hydroxyl and/or carboxyl groups, the foregoing mixture being reacted with a diisocyanate, and an aliphatic primary monoamine.

  • Patent number: 4918000
Abstract: A method of multi-color labeling at least two antigens present in a tissue such as non-liquid tissue or body fluids, with the aid of different antibodies is improved by introducing between the labeling of the first antigen and the labeling of the second antigen, and between labeling of the second and that of any further antigen, at least once a treatment with a non-immune normal serum and optionally other agents blocking any binding sites remaining free in the tissue after a last-preceding labeling step.
