  • Publication number: 20180326882
Abstract: A cable assembly for folding vehicle seats having a folding headrest that folds as the seat back is moved to a folded positon. A cable interconnects a headrest folding mechanism with a stationary component whereby movement of the seat back shifts the cable. The cable assembly includes first and second portions that are interconnected by an adjuster rod and a retainer. The adjuster rod and retainer permit interconnection of the first and second cable segments upon assembly of the headrest with the seat back in a manner that permits taking up slack in the cable assembly.

  • Patent number: 6103164
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a seal at a cylinder head of a vehicle motor includes providing a bearing groove at a cylinder head of a vehicle motor and providing a mold member for cooperating with the bearing groove to form the seal. The seal material is introduced into the mold member so as to provide a defined excess surpassing the volume of the sealing material required for filling the bearing groove. Curing of the seal material enclosed in the bearing groove and the mold member is achieved under pressure. The pressing device for performing the method includes a mold member with receiving groove for cooperation with the bearing groove of the cylinder groove.

  • Patent number: 4259936
Abstract: A device for electronically controlling the intake air temperature of an internal combustion engine, featuring a temperature sensor in the clean air space of the filter, the signal from the sensor controlling an electromagnetically driven oscillator pump whose vacuum output adjusts the flapper of an air flow proportioning valve by means of a pneumatic actuator, until the correct ratio of cold and preheated raw air is admitted into the intake system for the establishment of an optimal combustion air temperature. An automatic lowering of this temperature under full-load operation is achieved by utilizing the negative pressure in the air intake manifold as a control means to shift the oscillating armature of the oscillator pump away from its maximum output position. In an air intake system for fuel-injected engines, a similar result is achieved by means of an air flow sensor whose output signal is superimposed on the control signal from the temperature sensor.
