  • Patent number: 11967821
Abstract: A load control system for controlling the amount of power delivered from an AC power source to a plurality of electrical load includes a plurality of independent units responsive to a broadcast controller. Each independent unit includes at least one commander and at least one energy controller for controlling at least one of the electrical loads in response to a control signal received from the commander. The independent units are configured and operate independent of each other. The broadcast controller transmits wireless signals to the energy controllers of the independent units. The energy controllers do not respond to control signals received from the commanders of other independent units, but the energy controllers of both independent units respond to the wireless signals transmitted by broadcast controller. The energy controller may operate in different operating modes in response to the wireless signals transmitted by the broadcast controller.

  • Patent number: 7252064
Abstract: A switchable air intake system for a multicylinder internal combustion engine has at least one short and one long intake manifold whose cross sections are controllable by at least one regulating unit as a function of operating parameters (in particular the rotational speed of the internal combustion engine). The short intake manifold for a first cylinder bank row and the long intake manifold for a second cylinder bank row of the internal combustion engine, are controllable via a joint regulating unit (56, 58).

  • Patent number: 5457467
Abstract: The antenna combination has at least two individual antennas which form part of at least one resonant circuit which appears on an electrically conductive surface. The output signals of the individual antennas are combined, for example, added. The antennas are preferably located at the edges of the electrically conductive structure. The antenna combination of the invention is particularly suitable for transmitting and receiving in vehicles because antennas which have transmitting and receiving properties equivalent or superior to those of rod and disc antennas can be built into the vehicle. The antenna combination can be used advantageously in a diversity process.

  • Patent number: 5204979
Abstract: According to the receiving method for mobile reception has a plurality of individual receiving antennas, also known as diversity receiving method, on the individual antenna output signals an auxiliary modulation is superimposed and the antenna output signals are added to give a summation signal which as amplified selected intermediate-frequency summation signal is then demodulated in relation to amount and frequency or phase, the phase position of an individual signal in relation to the phase position of the summation signal and/or the amplitude contribution of an individual signal to the amplitude of the summation signal thereby being determined. This information is utilized for optimizing the useful signal with a view to optimum interference suppression for example in that the phases and/or amplitudes of the high-frequency individual signals are changed in dependence upon the phase position and/or amplitude contribution determined.
