  • Patent number: 6243453
Abstract: A programmable call processing system (52) provides a standard call processing process (80) performing call processing according to industry standard call models, at least one database (84, 86) storing call processing data accessible by the set of standard call processing process (80), and at least one customized call logic program (92) for implementing extended subscriber features on the telecommunications switching system (10, 30). Further, an application program interface (56, 94) provides access by the at least one customized call logic program (92) to the at least one call processing database (84, 86) and further interrupting the standard call processing process (80) to execute the customized call logic program (92).

  • Patent number: 6055232
Abstract: A telecommunications network (10) for providing intelligent network services includes a distributed switching system (19) having a call control computing platform (12) coupled to a digital loop carrier (16), where the digital loop carrier (16) is coupled to a plurality of customer premises equipment (18). A local switch (30) is coupled to the digital loop carrier (16), and at least one service control point (40, 42) is coupled to the call control computing platform (12) and the local switch (30). The at least one service control point (40, 42) contains service definitions and logic of both legacy services and intelligent network services.

  • Patent number: 5890156
Abstract: A distributed redundant database architecture (10) primarily for storing a plurality of wireless service subscriber files (84, 86) is provided. The database architecture (10) include a first set of processors (44 46, 48) each having a shared memory (72, 74, 76), where the processors (44, 46, 48) are divided into processor groups (38, 40, 42). A memory storage device (80, 82) is coupled to each processor group (38, 40, 42) in a multi-initiator mode so that each memory storage device (80, 82) is accessible by the processors (44, 46, 48) in its respective processor group (38, 40, 42). The plurality of subscriber files (84, 86) are assigned to the processor groups (38, 40, 42) and further assigned to the processors (44, 46, 48) in each processor group (38, 40, 42) to achieve a substantially even distribution.
